That's such obvious nonsense. The air resistance and gravity would balance out at a relatively low speed. It would not do more than chip a little chuck of a 1/20 inch or so off the concrete

I just saw the penny thing on Myth-busters a couple of days ago. They were testing the myth of dropping a penny off a tall building and if it would kill somedody. I think they determined that the terminal velocity of a penny was like 64 mph. They did shoot the penny into concrete and asphalt. I can't remember if the penny left a mark in the concrete or not. In any event, the myth was busted.
