Nose bleeds?

Are nose bleeds a common occurence with high blood pressure? I had daily nosebleeds for 7 years, sometimes multiple times. They started when i took accutane when I was young and lasted for a very long time. I think they may have subsided for a while and then came back. I figured it was from accutane but now I am thinking maybe its from high bp? I have a family history of high bp. Wehn i check my self now a days its not very high at all 120/76 I think it was the last time I checked, but then again I have gotten nose bleeds for a year and a half or so and in this time I have lost about 15 lbs of bf and started eating very clean.

i took accutane also and i still get them. also its winter time. depending on where you live, if its really dry there that could account for it also, and yes high bp can be a contributor. my dad has asthma and high blood pressure, when he coughs really hard he gets a nose bleed.

high BP could cause nosebleeds, but not in your case..your BP is normal, so i doubt it is from that

Could be from a number of things, I have had this problem as a child from being low in iron.

Also, being low in many vitamins, such as vitamin A, will cause you to have weakened mucous membranes, sore throats, etc.

Vitamin K also could play a role since it's primary function is blood-clotting.

I would take a good multi vitamin and see if you notice any changes.

I get that aswell... never too accutane, and I couldn't tell you my BP if my life depended on it! (i'm only 21)

BUT i do get them.. what I found worked was a 'lubracating Nasal gell or spray.'
You can get it at a drug store. It worked really well for me for the longest time... actually just the other day did i have my first one in a long time - I think it's due to the cold, dry weather!

Ive always had nosebleeds aswell, i eat right, take multivitamins, and my BP is fine. Any ideas??

I never in my whole life suffered nose bleeds until i discovered A-Bombs, apparently when on AAS the volume of blood in your system increases and the nose can act as a safety valve of sorts to release pressure on the brain, im still here so i dont think there were any long-term probl

ive used AAS, but frequency never differs when on/off, cant thik of anything else
