We are creating a threat to our military power so we can spend trillions of dollars on star war missile shields and stuff.

If I was a foreign country, I may very well really dislike America. Our foreign policy comes across like we have apppointed ourselves as everybodies boss. Frankly, other countries have a right to defend themselves.

they didn't the US the permission to have Nuke plants/weapons. Nukes in the world are basically like a car, in order to use one you need a license........lol

you're right. people get upset about the UN trying to dictate to the US, yet the US is allowed to dictate to everone else in the world what happens.

NK makes brash decesions that affect not just the U.S. but everyone else in the world. China is not doing anything to help feed the NK people and doing nothing else other then to give moral support. Give NK a Nuke and see how long it takes them to invade the south

I can't remember who was over there during the korean war (Patton or MacArthur), but he wanted to keep rolling right through china and russia. He had a window of opportunity to conquer almost all of the Asain continent (the parts that matter anyway), but the president at the time wouldnt allow it. The general actually lobbied for it so much, and was so gun hoe, that he was taken out of control of the region and we never bothered. Makes you wonder what the world would have looked like had we conquered Russia and China.

But as far as N. Korea removing the video survelience.... Whoever thinks that isnt a problem is delusional. If you are using a reactor for what it is supposed to be used for (creating energy) , then there should be no problem with a camera watching people go about there normal business. Its not like they are gonna get in trouble for smoking on the job, or the employees donrt want them cause they feel a lack of privacy. It isnt a business office thatthese cameras are in. So why would they remove the cameras? Hmmm... Could it be so no one sees them enriching plutonium to weapon grade material, or removing material from the site to bring to another location to build a bomb? Duh.

TTlPkg, ytou really think we couldnt take both of them at the same time? If we got an ok from China, it wouldnt be a problem. I dont think China would have a problem if we made our point like this...
N. Korea is not a stable nation. They deal weapons of mass destruction to whoever wants to buy them so they can fund further development. some of these nations are not friendly with china anyway. Look at china's location. Chances are unless these weapons and chemicals and nukes are shipped by boats, they are gonna have to be smuggled through China. Does china want things like that moving through their country without their Knowledge? I doubt it. They dont allow citizens to own handguns, i doubt they would like people smuggling nukes through tthere country. N. Korea also has a piss poor economy. A war in N. Korea would barely (if at all) effect the chinese economy.
And if we promised to come in, do our business, and then leave without leaving an occupying force, i dont think it would be much of an issue.

Besides, the U.S. basically keeps china moving forward economically witht the amount of trade we do. What does N. Korea do for them, besides be fellow communists and occupy the same continent.

they should but Bush thinks he's the "exclusive supplier of Nuke licenses".

Iraq is neither a big ass country (China, Russia, India) or a "friend" (UK, France, Israel...... and even Pakistan). I seriously doubt they'll invade North Korea, I think Bush will rather find an "asian" version of the Rosenbergs to fry......

starvation is the best tool to keep your people obedient. Every Dictator know that. As far as China not giving any support, well cause they don't give a shit about koreans life on a daily basis. It's all about their influence in the region. Same thing in 1951.

MacArtheur was the general back the. He requested somewhere in 1952 I think President Trumman to use nukes against Chinese troops in Mandchuria. The idea was not that bad and it would have probably solved many problems later. But Trumman got scared at the idea of seeing Russia taking the opportunity to blow West Germany and maybe Japan.

As for the camera, I would understand if this was in Iraq since they technically a "defeated country", but NK is a sovereign country. Why don't the US place some cameras in Pakistanis or Indian facilities ?

Boy, you U.N. supporters are like a bunch of mindless gimps. Why is it that you think the U.N. is the benevolent force in the world? What makes you think they are always right?
The reason America can dictate countries around the world on things like weapons of mass destruction is this...LOOK AT WHO WE ARE BITCHING AT ABOUT HAVING\ DEVELOPING THEM!!!
We are not mad that England has them, or France, etc. Cause these countries are stable and not looking to get them to win the upper hand and use them on someone.
We dont want coutries like Iraq (and the rest of the middle east for that matter) and N.Korea to have them because.. well look at them. The are aggressive unstable countries. The sell lesser weapons of mass destruction (chemical and bio) to obtain bigger shit (nuclear). Middle eastern countries are always blowing shit up, and attacking each other. Saddam gassed his own fucking people for Christ sakes. you want a guy like that to have Nukes??
And worse yet, these countries are economically in the shitter. And guess what, nukes are worth money, so most likely they would sell them to people around the world (including terrorriss) to raise funds. Its not hard to figure out why we dont want that shit going on.

And why Americans dont want to listen to the U.N. is simple...look who makes up the U.N. There are some countries that are on the level, i will give you that. Then there are the countries that are a step down the rung like France, who wanted us to leave Iraq alone. They are willing to trade nukes in the hands of this guy for some oil deals? What the F? And then look at the rest of the U.N..... it is made up of the same countries who i mentioned before, who are a bunch of fuck ups. But collectively, they are the almighty, all knowing U.N.

How can an organization with such conflicting interests in everything, and a political agenda that is different on every issue (because of who is being affected) be expected to even work, let alone do what's right?

Face it, America is keeping the world as you know it in one piece. If we had some fucking help from the rest of the world, things wouldnt be like they are now. Instead, the countries of the world choose to do jack shit abou things until their are loads of problems, and then they say "look what you have done America. That is why everyone hates you"

I like that philosophy taken by th rest of the world... Do nothing, let America bend over backwards by bailing out countries, forgiving debts, helping some to defensd themselves, eliminating threats to world piece, getting the rerst of the world out of jams (WWII), etc.. and then bitch because everthing isnt perfect, and blame it on us intruding.

I would like to see the U.S. completely close itself off from the rest of the world for 5 years, and watch the rest of the world fall apart. First economically, then by all the wars that would break out everywhere. Maybe then you ingrates would step to the U.S> and suck our dick like you all should be doing, instead of bitching.
