then again, albert fish was pretty interesting. singing 'i am christ' while standing on the roof of his house, then eating the flesh of children, then dancing to the electric chair, then having his groin explode due to too many sewing needles while being electrocuted.

bundy & ramirez have their moments.

i like the self empowered type. the type that knows what he wants, who he is, and where he stands. pure sadism, or gratifying a weird need (dahmer, nilsen) aren't enough to peak my interest.

I would pick a journalist with a syndicated column or two in major newspapers. You could write original commentaries after each murder, "attempting" to delve into the mind of the killer. It would be a good cover, too.
