Hey guys and gals,
I am new here, but I have been lurking for a while now. I have some quick basic questions for you guys, so forgive me if they are really noobish, because I am new to this. This will be sort of a long post, and the real questions are at the bottom, so skip if you want, but I think I drop a good story.
First I will give you a little background on me. I grew up playing baseball and soccer and I was always a good all around athlete. Then I met pot. It became my best friend for about... oh, lets say 10 years. I grew up with a real party crowd and we spent a LOT of time smokin, drinkin, and living a crazy life. I went to college, met a girl who liked to take X and drink A LOT. So I was generally a nutty bastard. I had gotten really out of shape and I was quite simply a fucking mess.
I took a desk job in insurance that I hate (notice this is present tense) after college and that is when I ballooned up. Within a year I had gone from about my "normal" crappy weight of 230lbs to 323lbs. I had gotten sloppy, lazy, and fat. Worst of all, I felt bad all of the time. I didn't want people I worked with to look at me funny so I withdrew heavily from everyone. Ditto for all my friends. And family. I was down to one person in my life on a daily basis, my girlfriend. I knew I was looking horrible and I knew she was going to leave me soon. She did leave me within about 4 months of my peak fatass-ed-ness, in July of 2004. I can't blame her.
Fast forward 9 months to today and I have turned a lot of my life around. I have been working out very steadily, I learned how to eat right, quit ALL drugs, quit drinking (well... maybe 2 or 3 beers a week), and cleaned up my act all around. I am down to about 250lbs, a 73lb drop from last year at this time (the 323 peak was in Feb. 2004). I lift 3-4 days a week, and run 3-4 days a week. I take multi-vitamins, whey protein (with dexrose on lifting days), Omega 3 fish oil pills (I hate fish), and I just got on creatine about a month ago. I have seen great gains in strength over the past 9 months, taking my bench from 145 to 225, with similar gains in all other aspects of my lifts (I just give bench as a "benchmark"... nice pun huh?). So even though I have dropped 73lbs total, I know I have lost more fat than that, because I am putting on muscle weight. What I have found is that I LOVE lifting! It is a great replacement for my bad habits, and I am so into going to the gym to get that pump. Maybe it has something to do with since I don't get loopy on drugs or alcohol anymore, it is a good way to get those endorphins rockin? So that is my background.
What I want to know is:
1. Will AS aid in fatloss?
2. If so, which ones?
3. I HATE needles, so do any of these come in tabs?
4. I think I am mentally ready for AS, but do you guys think I am physically ready? BTW, I had my blood, liver, thyroid, and testosterone checked recently, and they were all normal, so that aspect is covered. I mean are my bones/joints/muscles ready?
Here are my stats:
25 years old, male, 6'0", lifting on and off in high school (very sparsely in college), been seriously lifting for about 9 months, endomorph body type.
If there is anything else, let me know and I will provide the stats.
Thanks in advance for any and all replies! Please don't flame, you all started somewhere/sometime also.
