Noob question: Amps

a few bros on here recommended putting the cap of a pen over the top and breaking it that way. worked pretty well for me. I have a large box of alcohol pads so i always wiped the outside of the amp with it, then wrapped it around the top and put the pen cap over it. worked fine

Use an amp file (or a jewelers file) or amp opener. First make sure all the gear is at the base of the amp. Sometimes air will trap some of it at the top. Just tilt it untill the air works it's way up to the top and the juice settles at the bottom.

I usually take a knife or razor and just shve that seal of a little and than it snaps off nice and easy or U can purchase vial openers...

I use the amp opener can buy one at getpinz for like 4 bucks, I look at it this way, you can use the pen cap/file method and maybe never shatter an amp, but the day you crush an amp in your hands and watch that oil drip to the floor,,, you will wish you had an amp opener...

I wipe the amp with an alcohol swap, and then I use a sock, (clean one of course,) to put over the amp, and then snap the neck with both hands like a fortune cookie. The sock is just for the off chance of the amp shattering, which i have had happen once on a UG amp, you dont want glass shards in your hand. Or you can use the pen method, ive heard it works well, but never tried it.

Should i break on the blue dot with those? Or where it is the narrowest (which is what I have done)?

break the narrowest part, if it's not pre-scored, you will need to use some type of carbon steel such as a file and score the neck, it will then snap off. If using the amp opener, press the piece of steel on the neck and twist the amp, press lightly enough just to score it, then snap off. The top of amp will be stuck in amp opener, the amp opener will have a plunger on it to push the top back out. It's sterile. Occasionally you'l have a piece of glass get in the amp with the oil, I always draw the oil out anyway and never had problems.

pen caps work ok... but chop the end of it as they are a b!tch to get out after sometimes for multiple uses!! anyways I rec always wiping down the amp top with alc before opening and also graapin a little tp and wrapping the lower end (personally I wrap the top too and just use my hands) it's no fun losing an amp cause it shattered and it's even less fun pickin glass out of you finger afterward... I personally prefer to draw with a 25 gauge out of ampules because I feel more confident that no glass will be going into my body when I inject, afterwards I switch pins to a larger guage 22 or 23 is good, I always switch pins as it seems even in multis I tend to dull the needle just enough to make it a less pleasant injection, much less when I'm poking the bottom of a glass vial making sure I've got all my juice!! a serated knife works well to score the amp first but isn't req,,,, but usually makes for a cleaner easier break... anyways good luck

i used to file but have since just popped them open with no file of tissue or wipe. just make sure you wipe the pin w/alcohol b4 u stick it. just hold the amp in your fist with the thin part stickin out, and put yourthumb on the top of the amp on one side, your index just below on the other side and snap. it should open easy. i did break my 1st one tho

oh and amps are a bit ol' school, this is how alot of drugs came way back in the beginning........i.e morphine amps in the movie the deep
