non powder protein shake

notpuff

New member
i want to start incorporating 2-3 protein shakes a day but dont want to spend that much on powderd shakes ,does any one have a receipe for a non powder protein shake using things like (egg beaters, powderd milk etc) lookign for like 25g protein

I read that in the old days Arnold used to make out of egg whites, milk, and non-fat milk powder. You could EASILY get 25g protein with:

8 oz milk = 9g
1/3 cup nonfat milk powder = 9g
2 egg whites = 8g

Total protein = 26g

Only problem (if it's an issue) is you would also get about 32g carbs.

woudl egg beaters be ok instead of eggs ? thats a pretty cheap protein shake for a poor college kid like me , maybe add a little non fat choclate syrup for flavor

ok just made my own shake

8 oz milk
2 egg whites
1/3 cup powder milk
2 tbsp peanut butter
4 tbsp of choclate ovaltine

Cool! Be creative! And I guess egg beaters would be OK, not to sure if it would taste funky though. Peanut butter is a good touch. I sometimes add a tablespoon of flax oil.
