Nominations for Rock Album of the Year

Maybe I should've put Cradle of Filth or Cattle Decapitation or Vehemence on my list since they're so hard core. And they have such cool album covers too. If you're another guy who bases how good music is on how hard core it is, then your opinion is as valuable as shit wrapped in aluminum foil with a ribbon made of pubic hair (nah you're entitled to think what you want, but I just really wanted to say that).

BTW, check out Burnt Offerings and tell me it still sounds like 80's rock. Now if you said they have similarities to 80's metal bands like Iron Maiden, I wouldn't argue you there.

Now that I'm done with my rant, I do agree that Dimmu Borgir and Arch Enemy are decent bands, but I'm not a huge fan of either. Don't care for Cradle of Filth at all though.

I've met people like you before that simply don't like a band because they are mainstream or popular. I could probably name any band that gets any radio play and you would say they suck,are posers and I'm stupid. I'll tell you one thing none of these no name "ROCK" bands from Pit or neo-assrock magazine on here will win shit on anything besides maybe a worthless nomination on elite fitness music board.(I just wanted to say that your entitled to your own opinion though )

Interesting....I don't bands cause they're mainstream or popular? I'm not sure where you got that. Sevendust and Mudvayne are among my favorite bands and I'd say they're pretty damn mainstream. I'd say you're off a little.

I passed up the chance to see Mudvayne on the tour with Metallica and I've been kicking myself in the ass ever since.

My Chemical Romance - Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge was an AMAZING album... kinda mainstream now but they have a sick punk sound with amazing lyrics and rhythms...
