Nolvadex - Need help.

Okay, I am sure this is on the board somewhere and I probably have not researched it enough. I have offered many expert medical advice on here, but now I need help. I specialize in cardiac and vascular medicine, and not endocrinology. Anyway, here it is:

I am on 200mg Depo-Test every 4 days (400 per week). I have been on for 3 weeks. I started noticing a little nipple redness and puffyness so I ask on the board what is the best anti-estrogen. I looked at Arimidex and Nolvadex (Tamoxifen).

I just got a script for Nolvadex and I got it filled at the local pharmacy. I have 10mg tablets (120 of them). What dosage is best for the anti-estrogen - or for the effect I am having? Should I be on this the entire cycle of until symptoms disappear?

Thanks for your help!

20mg a day works for most.
i havent heard of anybody takin more than 40mg a day.

Should I take this the entire cycle? Will it not interfere with the gains of Testosterone if on it the entire cycle?

No, you dont have to take it for the entire cycle, Nolvadex is only taken when gyno or gyno symptoms occurs, as in your case. Take Nolvadex until gyno goes away or symptoms disappear. Like satchboogie mentioned 20mg per day is fine, although some bros here take as much as 40mg. When I had puffy nips during my dbol cycle, i took Nolvadex 20mg for a couple of days and it instantly disappeared.

No, Nolvadex will not interfere with Test gains as the drug is technically an estrogen agonist/antagonist, which competitively binds to estrogen receptors in various target tissues such the mammary tissues. With the tamoxifen molecule bound to this receptor, estrogen is blocked from exerting any action, and an antiestrogenic effect is achieved. Since many forms of breast cancer are responsive to estrogen, the ability of tamoxifen citrate to block its action in such cells has proven to be a very effective treatment.

dont let it fool you..

any anti-e will hinder gains slightly as the estrogen that we feel we must avoid has some benefits to it.

Nolva will block those receptors, but you also want to inhibit further conversion, so I'd say take some A-dex as well (IMHO)

This drug also shows the ability to increase production of FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) and LH (luteinizing hormone) in the male body. This is accomplished by blocking negative feedback inhibition caused by estrogen at the hypothalamus and pituitary, which fosters the release of the mentioned pituitary hormones. Since a higher release of LH can stimulate the Leydig's cells in the testes to produce more testosterone, can have a positive impact on one's serum testosterone level. This "testosterone stimulating" effect is an added benefit.

Satchboogie, can you explain as how nolvadex in this case will hinder gains slightly please. I just wanted to know your opionion cos I might learn about it.

Thanks :)

Thanks for the help. I had did some research and it mentioned taking anti-e only for gyno problems and to stop taking once they have subsided or disappeared.

I guess I will take 10mg at am and 10mg at night for a total of 20mg per day - until the redness, tenderness, and puffyness goes away.

That'll be cool bro, send me a PM or something.

ill make a brief summary of what i know (and im in no way claiming im an expert in this field).

estrogen = sides = why we use anti estrogens like nolva and proviron.

but estrogen also = increases water retention which = increases strength.

block estrogen and youre blocking potential strenght increase.

Satchboogie -

I see your point now bro, I have actually heard this before but it didnt occur to me at the time, oops!

cheers :)
