No sugar if I'm cutting?

Am I supposed to eliminate sugar in any form completely from my diet if I'm trying to lose that last bit of fat from my midsection and get cut? I'm eating pretty good now, just veggies, beans, whole grain breads/rice, lean meats and fruits. How about the sugarless gum like extra?

yes you should avoid all simple sugars when cutting except postworkout in which you should have simple sugars at this time, all other times of the day go with complex carbs. though if you are asking about gum i dont think that matters at all a piece of gum has like 5 calories or somethingl ike that, i dont think u need to worry about sugar in gum.

Ok I understand no sugars, but what about the fruits that I eat, like strawberries and apples? Isn't fructose a simple sugar?

Yes fructose is a simple sugar, but most whole fruit is low on the GI (slow digesting) cuz of the fiber, etc. I eat 2-4 servings a day even while cutting. Whole fruits are loaded with nutrients and fiber. "An apple a day..... "
