They had something about on Good Morning America this morning about someone who was suiing about movie ads...is this the same thing?
If this is the same thing Im thinking of, they didnt care about previews, only the other ads.Mad4Iron said:

I think the premise of the lawsuit is basically that they're selling ads to a captive audience and that they aren't starting the movie at the contracted time.

Loews can do what they want. It is not your predefined right to watch a movie without commercials.
There is no definition that the actual movie must start on the set time, only the presentation, which may include commercials.
Could make for a good school project paper, nothing else.

can you sue if your plane is late? i don't think so... i think when you buy the ticket you assume the possibility exists.
just like with previews, which have always been around.
this is new, though. this is commercials. this suit may at least halt the ad creep.
You know what is next don't you? intermissions with commercials. then, multiple intermissions.
Then, we all get glasses that allow us to tivo the movie. we sit in the theater and watch whatever we want... then we see the movie on 15 minute delay....
