"Smaller government", "Barry is a failure", "Corporations deserve a bigger voice than the people" , "Socialized Healthcare is the Devil" . I'm sure I missed quite a few Rhetoric one liners to get the Low IQ people to follow the rest of the lemmings.
The people are the 4th branch of Government. Lets see what they say soon.

I'm also for massive defense cuts, elimination of all subsidies and the eradication of any form of corporate welfare.
See, I don't fall for your bullshit world view that your pet spending projects are any better or any worse than someone else's pet spending projects. I want it all cut -- broke is broke.
Anything less is just tricking yourself that you can pick up a turd by the clean end.
I never said "pet spending" projects were good EVER. Shit, they spent billions on a POS jet that never came to be. They spent trillions in IRAQ and Afghanistan... another waste, Agri subsidies for farmers to produce LESS are waste. We all know the list goes on.
But, we cant cut aid for the Elderly, unemployed , aid for small business, or fire more Cops, Firefighters, Teachers. Or keep the pay Freeze for FBI, Border Patrol, Immigration Officers pay any longer neither. These people are important to our society. And they have lost so much money with inrflation and the pay freeze.
While in 2008 congress voted it's self a $4,000 pay raise. (before the Dems/Obama took control).
Broke is Broke for Indivduals. But when representatives still have to legislate, $ has to be spent.
Broke doesnt mean the coutry should halt and all spending end. There's still 29.6% of our country that are under employed or unemployed. They represent the largest slice of the GDP. Without them we fail at 100%
You don't make sense. You're for Lobbying, but against Pet projects?
Against small business, (You called them bottom dwellers or feeders, You had a specific term), But okay with The best and brightest hustling a Representative?
Or do you want all Corporate money out of our politcal system?

I bet there are plenty of people who are just as passionate that we should be spending money on new aircraft carriers, star wars missile defense systems, paying farmers not to grow crops and funding for their pet research project of choice.

I'm most definitely not against corporate money and lobbying in Washington.
If we as taxpayers are dumb enough to let politicians accumulate trillions of dollars a year for spending, corporations have a fiduciary obligation to their shareholders to get as big of a piece of that as they possibly can. I truly hope the private sector robs Washington completely blind. And I don't even care if it's only US corporations either. I'm fine with foreign corporations and even foreign governments doing it as well. If we're dumb enough as taxpayers to give our money to them in the first place, we most certainly don't deserve any of it.
So to re-cap:
Lobbying by corporations "Pet Projects" and "Subsidizes" to spend taxpayer money is okay because the shareholders need to reap as much as they can as fast as they can?
But we are broke and can't spend any extra on anything else ?
And it's okay for Foreign Nations to spend money on our elections and take the American Tax payer's cash?
Tax payers are stupid for paying taxes?
And you want the Government to fail all together?
These all have question marks... I'm not making blind assumptions.

I'll make it easier for you.
1) The right answer is to make government as small as absolutely possible. I'm thinking 3%-4% of GDP should be our cap on spending.
2) If instead voters choose to give the government trillions to waste, then corporations and foreign governments have every right to legally manipulate our system and take as much money as they possibly can.
3) If taxpayers don't a) Elect people who won't steal their money via taxes and b) Don't mitigate their own tax exposure, then yes, they do deserve to have their money stolen like it is now.

And I find it hilarious that you don't recognize this. It just goes right over your head.
I'm all for spending 38% of our GDP on "fixes" -- as long as I get more than the 38% I put in back directly into my pocket. That's exactly how your conservative villains and liberal idols see the world as well. You are what both sides refer to as "a useful idiot".
When gov't is very small you can still make the argument it's economically viable to hire people who can help you get what few dollars are available.
