ive been trying to drop bodyfat these past few weeks and i've kept my carbs pretty low, except on weekends. my height is 6'4 and weight now is 257. i was at 277 when i started my diet. but since ive kept carbs down, its hard for me to keep my strength. my workouts are lagging and im not a happy camper. is this shit normal? should i just stay with this low carb diet? heres how ive been eating on a normal day

10 egg whites-1/2 cup oats

1 chicken breast w/ 1/2 cup brn rice

1 can tuna

1 chicken breast w/brocolli

protien shake after gym

fish w/broccolli

2tbsp peanut butter before i sleep.

anyone have any suggestions?

I hate this feeling and it tends to last with me for about 2 weeks. I can't handle the 'drained' feeling any more and tend to diet low carb as opposed to very low carb i.e. I throw in a banana mid-morning (pre workout), a couple of slice of brown bread for lunch and a large baked potatoe or a cup of pasta for dinner.

Fat/weight loss still runs about 3lb per week and I have the energy to train well. Bottom line is either stick with it OR up the carbs until the feeling goes.

Hey- try taking in some more fat. I would take some EFA's in. Your body either fuels off carb or fat for energy. Remember that.

If you are doing a low fat low carb diet....try to cycle your carbs. Have a few very low carb days and a few moderate to high.

There is a good diet on www.flexonline.com
