No drugs??

Q: With your size and strength, you would seem to be a natural for competing in the World's Strongest Man competition. Have you ever been contacted to participate? If "yes," why haven't you accepted? If "no," why do you think that is?

Isaac: Yes I have been contacted to compete in world strongman competitions, and the reasons I didn't were the drugs I believe everyone is using. Not that they would be stronger then me because of it, because they wouldn't, but again because I don't associate myself with people who use drugs. And one competition I was contacted like a week before the event with no time to train for it, or anything. I believe it was done intentionally that way. Don't get me wrong. If there are some competitors out there that are drug free, and accomplished their size and strength naturally, I have all the respect in the world for them. It takes a lot of hard, hard work, and I say "more power to them."

since he seems to want to send out a "drug-free" image, i'd imagine that competing in WSM and winning it "without drugs" would be the ultimate statement.

anyway, drugs or no drugs, this guy obviously has some FREAKISH genetics....

also, interesting comments on training

Q: Could you give us some detail on your training routine?

Isaac: Well, I have a unique training regimen, Most "so called experts" would say to work on one muscle part one day, and then rest it the next. Well, what has worked for me is lifting on the same muscle parts, for 8 to 10 days straight, then taking 2 or 3 days off for the muscle to heal and grow. I believe in working the muscle really hard for days, then letting them rest afterwards. Now I caution to young people reading this, just because this works for me, doesn't me it's right for you. Everyone needs to go through a trial and error process with routines to see what their body best responds to.

Q: To what do you credit your tremendous size? Genetics? Hard work? Good eating? All of the above?

Isaac: I credit my massive size to very, very hard work

Hmm, you think genetics?? No he just eats a lot. Right, right. What a dumb ass question. Very hard work, whatever.... He is lifting more then the totally juiced up guys and he is all natural?? If its true he should do a few cycles and shatter all the worlds records!!

I guess what pisses me off is that this guy struts around claiming to be all natural. He is the poster boy of what you can obtain naturally. Bullshit. It makes true natural lifters look like slackers. Granted this guy has freak genetics, but he would have to have some MAJOR growth hormone/testerone issues to get like that naturally. Someone like andre the giant who had growth hormone problems, but you could tell just by looking at his face. I just don't see how this guy can be so strong and large wihthout using massive amounts of AAS. A lot of people who claimed to be drug free in the past were NOT drug free.

If the guy is all natural, god bless, but don't go spouting off how it was just hard work that got you that big. Many people work as hard as they can and don't get half that size. Its either freak hormone issues/good genetics, massive AAS, or both.

yep, thats what i'm saying... if he really is drug free and since he wants to get on his high horse about it, well, then i say go compete, win everything and then become the drug free poster boy.... till then he should shutup about it

haha i think what he meant when he said "drug free" is that he doesnt smoke weed or do heroin...or that he's on his "Off cycle right now" that could also be considered "drug free"

i've never heard of a powerlifter say they were "drug free" and not be referring to AS.
in fact, when anyone i've ever known has said they were "drug free" it meant that yeah, of COURSE they have smoked pot or done a few lines, but AS? no.

I find it a little hypocritical of him to say he has never taken drugs, but finds it so easy to say the WSM competitors do. What does he base it off of, "looks".

probably "common knowledge".

i was being sarcastic when i said that

I think its wierd he has such disproportionately small shoulder mass/muscle. Although he definitely needs work there, I wouldnt be the one to tell him!!!

he looks like a lumber jack. i wonder though if there are people out there who could be drug (aas)-free and get that big. i mean look at height and guys like robert wadlow (8 1/2 feet tall). couldnt this happen with guys with huge muscle too? and here im talkin about EXTREMELY special cases, people with crazy genetics.

i'd say possible but not very probable... a one in billions case.

Not sure about one in a billion, as most people that have incredible genetics to lift will never know as they never try. First, those numbers seem a bit of a stretch to me, i never liked these articles, because like what was said above, if you can do it prove it. This guy should own every powerlifting and WSM title and record known to man. Thier are some freakish drug free guys out their, but the majority of them are not going to be, just like Ronnie Coleman who claims to be drug free, lol.
