Nitric Oxide - Vertigo, Dizziness ?!@#

I started taking a Nitric Oxide enhancer last week and was on it for like 5 days. During those five days I felt like my head was filled with helium and whenever I turned my head, layed down, stood up I would just about pass out. I stopped taking the supplement and everything is back to normal now. I was only taking the reccomeneded dosage and I have taken NO products in the past without this...So my question is I guess, why is this happening and should I continue taking NO or trash it? Thanks guys :chomp:

Its called Oxylene AKG, I picked it up at walmart because it was on sale for like $20 in the middle of the aisle. I have used BSN Nitrix and and NO2 before without these side effects and actually had results. I think this is probably some cheap rip off with something I am allergic to...dont know but I have stopped taking it.

NO2 type products are Hemodilators and rely on the amino acid Arginine (usually 3000 mg). If you are using weight gainers, protein supplements, or amino acids then it is likely that your Arginine levels are too high. At very high levels arginine can be toxic.

So the first thing you want to do is stop taking the NO2 and then have a look at your other supplements.

If this isn't the cause then you may want to consult with your physician if the problems persist.

I'm going back to bed. zzzzz

Thanks for the help... You ended up being right on. The NO had 3000mg and some of my other supplements had a good amount of this arginine stuff also. Thanks for the info, I didnt even think of looking for something like this. :)

IF you really want to use NO2 then do some receptor testing with it. Just start out with the smallest dosage possible and gradually work your way up and note any side effects. This way you will be able to monitor your sensitivity to it and know the maximum dosage posssible for yourself.

Alternatively ... just go without as this is not a necessary supplement to develop a good physique. Put your money into good sources of protein.
