Nioxin Shampoo

He may mean either but to answer your question on Nioxin, I use it every day regardless of any cycling. I don't have MPB nor does it appear to run in my family. I had a hair stylist years ago tell me how great the stuff was for hair in general, even though it is marketed for guys with thinning hair. All the research I have done on it shows that it does remove DHT from the scalp and create a more friendly environment for hair to remain, but doesn't seem to be as aggressive in doing that as some other shampoos/scrips etc.. I have run test and used Nioxin one day and then Nizoral the next day (alternating I mean) and didn't notice any difference in my hair loss at all.

I just like it in general, it's just a nice little benefit it may help keep my hair even if just in a small way. If you have hair issues, have you looked at Finastride?

Hmm, Nioxin works that way too? Is there a certain type of nioxin to get or do they all work? Cause I've only seen it at females places where they get it for color treated hair...

But the idea of using it sounds great to me, cause nizoral makes my hair stiff and bristly like hay...

ive been thinking since about 6yrs ago and havent tried anything....havent really done my hoemwork......so what WOULD i try 1st? males on mohters side are balding non on dads and i started AAS7-8yrs ago in HS any/everythign i could get. so im sure MPB pushed by AAS caused it. any suggestions on what to try 1st?

If you go to the FAQ section and look under "How do Nioxin Products work?" it will state that it clears DHT from the scalp to create a better environment for hair growth. I have always used the Bionutrient Actives (about 6 years now) and really like it. I reccomend it regardless of gear being in the picture. I don't get itchy scalp, never gets to oily or too dry, no flakes, it works very well for me, it's just a benefit it helps with DHT issues. As I said earlier, I do not know how well it compares in it's DHT removeal compared to other shampoos that do the same thing. I have emailed them in teh past with this question and never got a reply back.

I've used Nioxin, it's actually a generic brand that you can buy at costco, and works great. I followed directions to the heart, and my hair loss has stopped ever since. I noticed a few months after use that new hair was growing, it kinda look like a peach for a little while (lol) and a month later or so, that hair matched my natural hair color and grew healthy.
I like the product and I won't stop using it.

Wayneboardl, do you use both nioxin and Nizoral? I'ver been on a script for nizoral for years now but it sounds as though it may be worth adding nioxin to the mix. I use the nizoral 3 -4 times per week. Not sure if I am prone to MPB but so far I've kept all my hair and will do what ever I need to to keep it that way.

I alternate both when on and only use Nioxin when off.

Interesting stuff. I don't live near a costco so do you know where I can find the generic stuff online or at wal-mart and what name would it be found under?
