That's the old 1st season, the new season started last week...They have changed some variables this year to make the results more realistic and fair.

Yeah Season 1 Ultimate Fights was called "Back for Blood", Season 2 had Swat vs GSG9 so far...Should be another fun season!

Wife and I came across this on TV, she just looked at me and said

It's actually a good show. They have specialists come in and demonstrate the REAL weapons and armor and things of a certain "warrior". They test them on Ballistics Gel dummys and such and have an actual doctor tell you what kind of real damage was produced. They use the slow motion cameras and different tests to gather data. They then run a simulation 1000 times to see which fighter would have won in a real battle of their times. It shows how different weapons, skills, technology progressed and interesting stuff like that.
Admittedly some pairings were a little weak but most have been pretty interesting.

I thought so at first too, then the more I watched the gayness started to shine.
Who qualifies these guys as "experts"? If you've ever watched "Fight Science" I thought that show was pretty cool too. Their Ninja expert Glen Levy, though, is no expert. Sure he knows his style, but he is selling his own style. Glen Levy is a joke, Dr. Hatsumi is the real deal expert and you'd never catch him on any of those shows.

I think you're missing the point...the people showing the "styles" aren't really anything more than people trained in whatever style it is, just to demonstrate the weapons and such. They have the two "sides" trash talk and whatever. The end simulation, is actually a simulation that the computer guy developed to rate different skills and killing effectiveness of all the weapons and such, they they do some really retarded "simulation" of the overall outcome of the computer sim that was run 1000 times, to show you the winner.
The one guy is a doctor that goes through how effective the damage is to create a possible "kill" or severe damage in a battle.
The only thing I find corny is the end simulation "acting", other than that they go through some good stuff. Plus it was their first season so some of the "warriors" were just kind of weak choices. The new season with GSG9 vs Swat was actually pretty well rated I thought.

Bare in mind that sometimes we must use our Ninja Trickery Powers to convince hoes that we wish to get more from them than just a shot of da ass.
