Night sweats and anabolics?

So I'm on the fourth week of a cycle of deca (200mg EW) and test cypionate (750mg EW), with arimidex (.5mg daily) to avoid gyno and water retention.

I've started getting occasional night sweats. I've read that this can sometimes be a side effect; wouldn't otherwise be worried except that I'm HIV positive and if there's one symptom that's been drilled into my head as a red flag to keep an eye out for, it's night sweats. I'm on anti-retroviral therapy (sustiva and truvada) with an undetectable viral load for the last three years and a CD4 count that's been in the 300-350 range for the last year. My last set of blood tests was a month ago, and I'm gonna go have a new set done next week. Other than the night sweats no other worrisome symptoms: no cough, no fever, no weight loss.

My question is: are night sweats indeed a side effect of anabolics? am I being unduly worried?

it's the aromatase inhibitor.

fluctuating/low estrogen levels cause night sweats.

think menopause.

but yeah bro, nm, i didn't see a/b you being hiv positive. i have no idea about that.

O.K. You might not want to hear some of this stuff, but here goes! First, are you doing this with your doctor (PCP)? s/he needs to know what you are taking besides what you get by script from the pharamacy. OTC+meds can be a bad combo sometimes. Also, your t-cell count is O.K. but not great. It's too bad that someone like Dr. Tony Mills can't be everywhere for PWA's trying to boost their LBM. I would report the night sweats to your doctor. Also, see if when you come off your cycle (you DO give your body a break I hope) the night sweats stop.

My take...

I used anabolics before becoming infected. Sure, I was a little overheated but never had night sweats.

Post-infections, I have always had night sweats. The night sweats start---like clockwork--20-25 minutes into my sleep (night, nap, at my work desk, driving<g>...).

My VL has been undetectable for years now. My other labs are excellent.

Whether I am taking supplements or not does not impact my night sweats; my doctor knows about the supplementation and my night sweats. He not concerned at this point.

Odd as it sounds, I get night sweats from Ibuprofen. (I'm POZ too). I was taking it for inflammation/knee (800 mg) three times a day and I soaked my pillow the day I started. I stopped immediately and the sweats went away. I'm betting its something you're taking.

I was thinking because I lift late and then go to bed soon after, maybe my body is still "working" in the first couple hours of sleep.

How about you other guys that experience this, how soon after your workout to you go to bed?
