Nicotine!

pda321

Hey guys, I'd like to tell you all about a compound that most wouldn't associate with improved body composition but that can really help come cutting time: nicotine.

Yeah, that's right: ever noticed how thin smokers are? Ever noticed how fat they get when quit. Turns out nicotine, through a sort of convoluted chain of processes that I won't go into here (see link below) tricks your brain into thinking the body is full, satiated. I know empirically that means when I chew on some nicotine gum I don't want anything else in my mouth. Definitely not donuts--carb cravings in particular are fucking gone!

More controversially, there are nutrient partioning effects with nicotine. In other words, the donuts you do eat--and certainly the lean cuts of meat--go to your muscles and not your fat. I can't empirically verify this personally as it's difficult to say. But I will say that nicotine most definitely cuts down on hunger, and satisfies the oral fixation of eating/snacking too if you've got the gum.

Now I'm not saying go out and buy a pack of smokes. That shit will kill you!
Ebay has the generic "habitrol" for very cheap. Report back with results!

you know I remember a few years ago, well quite a few....the "anarchists cookbook" was floating around, it had an article in it about extracting nicotine from a can of chew.... if this is something that you want to use to help you out, an economical source of nicotine may be doing some kind of crude extraction.... I feel like i should point out that the reason for the extraction was to use the nicotine and kill someone, because in a high dose it can be a lethal poison......

did a bit of research on this.... intresting:

http://www.prn2.usm.my/mainsite/bulletin/1995/prn2.html
"The fatal dose of pure nicotine is approximately 40-60 mg (0.6-1.0 mg/kg, 1-2 drops) i.e. the quantity contained in 2 g of tobacco (equivalent to 2 common blend cigarettes; 15-25 mg of nicotine per cigarette). However, the smoke contains less than 3 mg per cigarette, with smoke of most nonfiltered brands containing 1.2 to 2.4 mg and filtered brands between 0.2 and 1.0 mg. Up to 90 percent of the nicotine in mainstream smoke will be absorbed by the smoker. Because of diminished bioavailability, tobacco is much less poisonous than expected on the basis of its nicotine content. Furthermore, the dose may be spread throughout the day and this is not unusual for a cigarette smoker."

here is the article from the oldschool anarchist cookbook :
"Nicotine is an abundant poison. Easily found in tobacco products, in concentrated form a few drops can quickly kill someone. Here is how to concentrate it:

First get a can of chewing tobacco or pipe tobacco. Remove the contents and soak in water overnight in a jar (about 2/3 cup of water will do...). In the morning, strain into another jar the mixture through a porous towel. Then wrap the towel around the ball of tobacco and squeeze it until all of the liquid is in the jar. Throw away the tobacco--you will not need it anymore.

Now you have two options. I recommend the first. It makes the nicotine more potent.
1. Allow to evaporate until a sticky syrup results in the jar. This is almost pure nicotine (hell, it is pure enough for sure!).
2. Heat over low flame until water is evaporated and a thick sticky syrup results (I don't know how long it takes... shouldn't take too long, though.).

Now all you have to do, when you wish to use it, is to put a few drops in a medicine dropper or equivalent, and slip about 4 or 5 drops into the victim's coffee. Coffee is recommended since it will disguise the taste. Since nicotine is a drug, the victim should get quite a buzz before they turn their toes up to the daisies, so to speak.

Note: If the syrup is too sticky, dilute it with a few drops of water. And while you are at it, better add an extra drop to the coffee just to be sure!"

I dont know this shit sounds pretty dangerous to use as an appetite surpressant, but this thread caught my eye because I have been trying to quit smoking (only 2 cigarettes in the last 5 days!)

I think that you could extract the nicotine and then suspend it in alcohol or something to get a desired concentration that may be beneficial for appetite supression.... according to the leaf that pda posted up Chewing tobacco is approximatly 0.4% nicotine, so I suppose you could use that information to calculate and dilute a dosage that would be fitting for appetite supression....

Hey bro i just send you an email, i was trying to get you on PM but it seems you have your inbox full and cant receive any Personal messages.

I remember an article about nicotine in an old issue of Mucle Media 2000. It suggested chewing nicotine gum as a pre workout stimulant. Personally I prefer Skoal. Nasty shit-but it helps me keep my appetite under control when dieting. Quitting has never been a problem for me, but for most nicotine is the most addictive stuff on Earth.

the only time i chewed tobacco i got so lightheaded almost passed out..lol

Just slapped on a nicotine patch last night.....some of the most vivid (color!) dreams I can ever remember crazy shit.... and it was an OOOOLD patch that expired in 2002.... yeah I tried to quit a few years ago too hah still had some laying around

i smoked for 10 years. always skinny, feet and hands were always cold from poor circulation, concentration was off, mind was cloudy all the time. then i quit. that was 3 years ago. cant believe i had some chemical controlling my life. never again will that crap happen. hardest thing i have ever done and will never look at tobacco the same again. evil stuff.

I have to admit, I smoke about a pack of smokes a day...

I need to quit but I don't drink or do anything else, except Jugo de Hugeness.

My dad had to quit smoking when he became an oncologist, so he chewed nicotine gum for 20 years. It's much, much healthier than smoking, but he quit chewing after some studies showed it still isn't exactly healthy and there are some potential links to cancer from it.

I dont know that nicotine gum had even been around that long! It seems like chew supressed my appetite more than any other form of nicotine (smoking / patch) still havent tried anything with an extraction, I went and bought a can and just ended up chewing it hah.
bump for more opinions
