I dont see the point of taking nicotine gum unless you're deiting and trying to quit smoking at the same time. If you're not a smoker than using nicotine gum is senseless since it's just as addicting as smoking
I have to an extent. I ran out though and its a bit expensive.
As far as the addicting part, you have to do it at your own risk; know and listen to yourself. I haven't had any problems; I suspect that people craving the nicotine, using it to relax, etc. are liable to get addicted. People treating it like a supplement/drug, in a pharmocological way, I believe, are less likely to get addicted.
Macro noted several times about the advantages of Nicotine (NOT smoking!) when dieting. I think it was due to it's effect increasing 5-HT (serotonin). That said, I see it as a short-term remedy only.
