here is my proof

new waitress starts at the bar a few weeks ago. shes cute,seems nice enough.

all the guys I work with keep tossing these cheesy lines out,trying to pick her up.

Not Oak's style,I fly under the radar and honestly was like ya whatever.

she noticed I guess and gave me her number,email etc we have been chatting,and shes a really cool girl, said those guys totally repulsed her by how bad they would hit on her and follow her around tryin to talk to her.

gonna hang out tomorrow when she gets back in town from visiting family.


maybe its the want what ya cant have mentality as I really didnt say much to her. just my nature I guess,but it turned out pretty good,I got the digits not those guys,and they always pick up.

oh and im watching that paris hilton music video and fuck she makes me want to touch myself

I thought you already knew the story.

me. drunk at a strip club. being a jerk (more then usual). fell into a DJ booth. got into a scuffle with the DJ and the bouncer. rescued by friends. threw up in front.

nothing special.

lol Im cool just being friends,I honestly believe that being myself will get me a girl I can marry,where tryin to be a part will land me a girl but it wont last as ill get tired of being who im not.
 
There is a difference between nice guys and doormats. Lots of women love nice guys, but doormats are unattractive whether they are male or female.

Your personality is great, Oak. You should end up with a great gal.

oak, simple fact of life is that peoples perception of a person does not often match the real value of the person. a womans perception of men does not often match the real value of that man. if you go through life being 100% congruent with your real value, while the remainder of the male population presents themselves well and so has a perceived value far in excess of their real value, you are going to be passed over for those men, and end up with a lower value woman than you otherwise might have had.

i went through my late teens and early twenties (in relationships, so it didnt matter...much) being the "what you see is what you get" guy. i was fortunate that im sufficiently high value that i had lots of women interested (i was looking really good at the time :p) but the simple truth is that had i been smarter about how i presented myself, i would have attracted clouds of much hotter women.

since being single these past 3 yrs, i have presented myself far, far better than i did in the past, and have received interest from some ridiculously hot women. disgustingly hot. OMFG hot. (miss australia finalist type hot) and there is NO WAY IN HELL i would have received that interest had i not been presenting myself properly. i would have been blown out of the water by a bunch of low life mofos who were better at marketing themselves, but who were really scumbags in comparison. simple.

you didnt win the girls interest because you were a nice guy - you got her interest because you conducted yourself in such a way that she perceived you as having confidence....which is amusing, because your actions were not motivated by confidence. they were motivated more out of pique. if you wish to continue being lazy/ignorant about how you interact with people, particularly amidst a bunch of social sharks, prepare yourself for the almost inevitable loss of this girl to a more savvy competitor.

and the only way youre "cool" with not hooking up with this girl is because youve grown used to losing, which is fucking sad. fuck that mindset. step up and take whats yours.

GD-I definately get what your saying. Im definately an oddball,my entire dating history has been longer relationships with amazing girls,atleast 7 or 8's,but then when Im single its a long dry spell where I dont date or anything for a year or so. But I think your right about presenting myself better,I could try a little harder thats for sure,and I know your right about me accepting the fact that I lose.
