Newbie question: why was thread closed?

Just so I can understand these boards better, can a mod explain why the "straight/gay common sense" thread was closed after 3 replies? Doesn't seem to me it was more OT than a bunch of other threads here, and there was no more appropriate board to post it on.

To answer you guys' questions (since I can't on the closed thread) that "shower incident" only happened to me twice in my life, both times at the gym at the University of Washington, where I did my undergrad. It's not a regular occurence! My point was that obnoxious behavior is obnoxious, no matter who does it.

To the NY guy who thinks he shouldn't have to shower with gay guys (maybe you were just kidding), dude, you've been showering with gay guys at every school, college, gym, or branch of the service you've ever been in, so you can hardly compare it to showering with girls. Neither you nor they are used to THAT.

Why speculate about the orientations of guys in the locker room! We have more important stuff to be thinking about at the gym. Call me a Puritan, but I think people should just train and leave their sex lives at home -- that goes for everybody.

It was probably closed because the topic had nothing to do with anabolic steroids, the topic of the board. There might be other forums in this site which might be a more appropriate place for your posting.

Another possibility is that the jerking off scene might have been too explicit for this board. You might want to check out, "Elite Between the Sheets."

I think gays and straights get along fine in the gym. I think the responsibility lies in both sides. If gay guys want to kiss when they greet each other and talk about other guys' butts at Steel Gym in Chelsea, NYC, or Gold's Gym, in Hollywood, LA, then it is fine. It is a gay envirionment. However, gay people should be respectful if a gym is predominantly straight, and not make open displays of their sexuality.

I workout at Johnny Lats Gym in NYC, which I love. There are plenty of both gays and straights. Nobody cares, because nobody talks about it, because everybody is there for the same reason -- to work hard. The place to play and meet and greet is at the club, not at the gym.

I did not see the topic but did it have anything to do with Anabolic steroids or body building in general ? if not then that is why it was locked as it does not belong on this section of the board
