I'm finishing my first cycle. Just var. Just 5 weeks. No more than 30mg a day.
I know . . . why bother and there are more effective gear and do injectibles. Yup. I hear ya.
I am prone to hairloss and taking fina with great success to combat it. But, I don't want to lose my hair. Period. That probably limits me to tbol and var.
Here are some experiences:
-- At 20mg (I am 170lb and 20% BF), I saw gains rapidly in strength in triceps and shoulders. Nearly 30% improvement over per cycle, and I lift at least twice a week. Now, 4 times a week minimum.
-- chest took longer, but at about week 3 I saw great improvements there too.
-- at 20mg or higher, i'd have times where my heart would beat harder than normal when I was resting. This arythmia (sp?) was bothersome and probably freaked me because I was a noob. It would subside and reappear periodically through the day.
-- I had "heart soreness" a lot, and now from reading here, it may have only been heartburn and an antacid probably would have helped.
-- at 20mg or higher, felt very strong in the gym. Wanted to lift all the time. Very energetic and happy.
Until the end, when the "heart soreness" bothered me until I minimized the dose, I really liked it. I didn't really lose weight (i need to diet before AAS in the future), but I gains some lbs of LBM and definitely am as strong in my chest, shoulders, and arms as I've ever been.
People said, "you're a new man". "Have you been working out?". Etc. Feels good to hear on a mild dose. I got the cosmetic effects I wanted.
And this is on a "tame" (maybe some would label "lame") cycle. But experience is the best teacher, right?
Thanks for the vets posting the knowledge here. Much respect.
Gonna get my lipids tested soon. I know vars main side effect is a rise in total cholesterol, esp LDL. Maybe why I was getting the heart soreness and the arythmia.
-- Who else has had heartburn on orals (var, etc.)? Did you treat it successfully or just deal with it?
-- Dose for dose, tbol vs var, which do you like and why?
