New Trend Customer Service

Have you noticed how more and more companies/websites are now heavily encouraging "live chat" or "email" customer service?

I was talking to a geek friend today who works in that indusry - and the #1 problem americans have is "they can't understand me dum fourinnors!!" (though they don't midn waiting onhold 40 mins 10 years ago).

So those ever smart suits, are now replacing live voice with more workstatiosn doign live chat and email support. So now when yo utalk to habib, i'm sorry, john, you email your questions. And for most calls - they are pretty simple and can be done via text. For more advanced problems - they get referred to a stateside c.s. center, where a white guy then takes your voice call.

Those american capitalists sure are smart! One industry that is growing by leaps and bounds eveyr single day. EF also btw has been email customer support for what since day one. lol! (i'd laugh if they offshore that c.s. one day omfg!!).

I actually tried those online chat things for ATT dsl. They just referred me to their phone number and said they could help me better.... Don't know..

Anyways, when they transfer you to india, just tell them to you want someone in the U.S to take your call. If they ask you why, just say you can't understand their Indian accent. Simple as that. They transferred me to an office in Minnesotta. The customer service for ATT is actually pretty decent in my area. They sent a few guys right out and fixed my problem. Just ask to be transferred to a US Office. Doing so will let these companies know we won't accept offshore Customer service. It will put more demand on U.S offices and create more jobs for US citizens.

us citizens do't want to work shitty customer service jobs for less than $20/hr and if they do - they bail after 3 months as soon as they get a real job that doesn't involve them sitting in a cubicile being yelled at all day.

I've been to a calc enter, you should see the high caliber of americans they had working there, most of them felons lol!

I used to work customer service at an warranty call center office. The people we had working there were either students who were in college or dumbass adults. I think i this economy people would want those call center jobs though. I don't think they deserve the $20 an hour though. Who the hell do they think they are? Union grocery baggers at Ralphs?
