hey everyone.......Ive been lurking around this board for awhile but I just joined recently.... well I have been having a lot of issues lately...like low energy, loss of concentration, moody, and just not really feeling myself lately....but once the libido took a nose dive I decided to go see the doc.....I told him all my symptoms I was having and he order some blood work and put me on some anti depressants to try for a few weeks.well I goes back after a few weeks and the Dr tells me that the only thing out of the norm was my test level which was 5.7pg/ml normal(8.7-25).....then he asked how the pills he gave me were working and I told him that they haven't help any of my problems at all....and that the total loss of my sex drive is starting to have a real negative impact on my relationship.....so what does he do ya ask?.....tries to write me a script for twice the dose of the anti depressants that I just tried.........so I had to ask him....if I have all the symptoms of low test levels and it has already been proven by blood test that my levels are low......why the hell would you want me to keep taking anti depressants?....well he decides to write me a script for andriol and to send me for more blood work.........my question is how do I convince my Dr to go for injections?....I can already tell that he doesn't really know a whole hell of a lot about TRT considering his reluctance to deal with the low test level in the first place until I questioned his decision about the anti depressants and the fact that he had to pull out his medical book and read up on it before writing a script for the andriol......the fact that he has agreed to try andriol proves he is willing to try ...I just don't wanna come across to aggressive about wanting injections......oh and btw....Im 32 and have never done a cycle

If you are going to stick with this doc - then do what he says and go through the protocol he gives you - remember if you handle it right you can present your own research to him. Other than that you can find an anti aging doc that deals with this every day and will probably be a lot more liberal with his protocol and methods - but you will pay out of pocket for it. Did he take you off the anti depressants?

ya he took me off the anti depressants....but only after I question his reasoning for doubling up the dose when the blood test proved my test levels were really low....Im starting to think that drs must be getting some kind of kick back from these anti deppresant companys the way the hand them out like candy...lol.....I am looking around for a new Dr but I haven't found any that are taking new patients and there isn't any anti aging Dr 's in the city I live.....so right now I guess Im stuck with this Dr
