Firslt I apologize if I've posted in the wrong area..I'm way out of forum practice. I"ll get used to it.
Anyway, a brief Bio- I'm 43, used to train heavy and twice dropped out of competition two weeks out due to issues with home and family. I"ve stayed in shape for the majority of the last decade and done some boxing and weight training to keep fit. My problem is I"m a hard gainer. It wouldn't be so much an issue now but I've been back training for about 10 weeks and seeing very little strength and size increase. I'm seeing lots of definition comng back and I"ve gained two lbs, eating clean taking hypershock and a low dose creatine, packing in the protein....Still not getting much strength back.
I don;t need to compete at this age, and I don't need to look like a 25 yr old in a bikini..I need strength. I have a young son who doesn't walk and is dependant on me for all of his ambulation and physical transport. I need to be strong. Hi is getting bigger and stronger- I need to keep pace.
I have in the past done some very heavy cycles fit more for a man, with some pretty brutal side effects. I would rather start with something with less negative side effects. I heard that Anavar was a good way to make gains and hold lean muscle without some of the less desirable side effects. My physician agreed to run a liver panel to clear me but is uncomfortable prescribing it (go figure)...
Can anyone offer some insight on the pro vs cons, or if there is a better option for me
Thanks in adavnce for any help....
