i've been working out for three years now and i have hit my platue...i've been at the same weight for a year now and haven't really seen any new growth. definite definition but no growth. i'm thinking i may want to jump to using creatine or others for a quickstart to my system....however, i have no idea what to use or where to start. any suggestions? i don't want to go crazy with this stuff, just the basics. i've been doing protein and MRS [meal replacement shakes] on occassion and on a steady schedule off and on. any help?

Assuming you have a proper mass gain diet, which should be #1 before supps, and don't want to go overboard - grab;

+A good multivitamin (or - if you already have) ZMA (Zinc+magniesium) formula

+A Micronized creatine product - best in class is creapure which is made by prolab or MetrX.

+ High protein weight gainer

Multi to hit any missed micro nutirients through daily diet, the ZMA to help keep zinc and mag levels in check (90% athletes are deficient), the creatine for added strength and recovery (ATP) and finally the gainer instead of protein shakes to add more calories to your diet and potentiate higher insulin spikes for the creatine post workout.

In general, most weight gainers are loaded with sugar and sat. fat...yeah, that tends to stick to you better, but its piss-poor nutrition. You will be better off buying a good quality protein blend (Met-Rx, Pro-Blend, ProComplex, ProMax) and making your own weight gainers...milk, fruit, ice-cream etc.

add cranberries

I recently experimented by adding fresh cranberries to a vanilla flavored protein shake....tastes great and I feel I'm getting the pro-kidney effects of cranberries..kinda might offset the kidney-stress of a high protein diet..any thoughts?
