new to board, looking for advice

Hello,
My name is Kali and I am new to the board. I have been doing cardio & bodybuilding, as well as researching workout enhancement options for years now. I feel that I have reached a point where I have reached a plateau on my own, and wanted some feedback on some things I have researched for possible future use. I am not looking at doing any competitions, however, I do need to bulk up as well as slim down for kickboxing and some photo shoots I have coming up. I have been working out with someone that has done anabolic stacking cycles and we have discussed increasing my workout with Deca. From what I have researched, I have decided to use no more than 50 mg a week, for a 4 week cycle. I have planned out a daily 150-200 g protein diet to go along with this. I would like some feedback from people that have used this before on any side effects or any opinions that you may have about Deca itself. From what I have read, 50 mg should not show many harmful side effects (barring sexually of course.) For the record I am 5’8” and about 140lbs. Thank you for your input.

my current diet/work out plan

Right now I am Kickboxing on Mon. and Wed. for approximately an hour and 15 to include stretching time and a few water breaks. This works basically my entire body. I lift on Tues. and Thur. and my muscle groups change according to how my arms and legs feel after kickboxing. Friday is a cardio only day for at least an hour. Sat. and Sun. are sometimes off days to recoup, but mostly they are used for some light weight/high rep toning. I live off of water, chicken, sushi and protein shakes/smoothies. Most of my carbs come from juice and fruit, nothing too complex... I don't really drink, smoke, eat fast food or anything too overly processed. I am just looking to get rid of that nice little layer that my genes keep wanting me to hold onto, and convert it into a more toned and stronger figure. Thank you for your help.

You are doing too much cardio stuff and not enought weight training...no need for light weights high reps!!! Your diet could use some changes too.....Go heavy with the weights..you wont bulk up...taking deca will not put muscle on you if you are not eating properly and training heavy!!
 
Okay, another lurker finally speaking up. Spatterson, I was just curious as to approximately how long it took you on that diet to go from 24% bf down to 12%?
 
That is unbelievable progress & must have taken alot of dedication! Sorry, I hope I'm not changing the topic of this thread, but how integral was the cardio to seeing such progress? An absolute must?
 
hello, just another lurker speaking up....i got a real feeling of
de-ja-vu reading kali's post. my workout routine is very similar to hers, just knock out the friday cardio, and i'm 2 inches shorter than her. i probably don't eat as clean as i should, but i'm working on that, (i printed out the links to the cutting diet posted) i've been on a cycle of deca 50, 1cc per 7-8 days for a month. i so far haven't had any unpleasant side effects, so far, and i know it is still early. i have gained about 5 pounds, but have noticed that my body is much harder, and i seem to have become a little more compact(my clothes are fitting better)

i'm interested in hearing more about why to take out the extra cardio? i had been contemplating adding more. i've been pushing myself to do higher weights when i lift and am really happy with the strength i've gained.

anybody have more info on training and diet?
 
Thanks for the reply spatterson! i skipped the cardio this morning and tore my legs up instead! it was wonderful! i was so happy to tell my other half i didn't need the cardio this morning!!! :D
