New to AS, need advice on a good cutting stack

hayrab

New member
Hello, I've let my body get out of shape and looking to get back in the gym got a 1 year membership. Im looking for advice on a good cutting stack to really shred some of this fat. This would be my first stack and I have access to AS so I figured Id give it a try, REALLY need to lose alot of weight like 50lb Im 6'5 300lb right now. No flames please

Thanks,
Harb

I'm not flaming you, so don't be offended... If you get started with cardio and a regular work out routine (minimum 3x/wk) and stick with a clean diet you can take off 50lbs in 6 months, tops. You can safely lose 2-3lbs/wk, so do the math.... At an average of 2.5lbs, you're gonna shed 50lbs of fat in 5 months while putting on some good, quality lean muscle mass and not even have to turn yourself into a human pin cushion...

Good luck...

being as big as you are I would not reccomend using steroids, your hear is already under enough strain without juice that with juice you may have serious health related problems

I agree, thats a lot of blubber.. you better start off easy. Get the nutrition right, the exercise program right, then check back in minimum 6 months and you should be ready to gear. But realistically 8-12 months.

You don't want to use some roids in your shape, catch a heart attack, croak then give juicers a bad name.

They would end up using you as the poster boy for a DON'T USE STEROIDS campaign.

Ive been going to the gym for 2 weeks now, 6 days a week starting out with cardio before my workout to get that metabolism pumping. Ive been on my diet for 2 weeks now also: Breakfast - Whey Protein shake, fresh vegetables, can of mixed fruit, Lunch (after workout) Whey Protein Shake, fresh vegetables, 2 cans of mixed fruit and a can of tuna fish, Dinner - Usually something with some meat or fish chicken salad etc...

I didn't plan to start my first cycle for at least 6 months just doing some research and 2.5lb a week sounds good everyone else tells me .5-1lb/week. You guys act like Im going to start the juice tommorrow Im waiting 6 months :) So please no more flames and some advice! :)

Thanks,
Harb

First, try to make good of that 1 year membership & see if you're really committed to doing what it takes to justify using AS. If you're that overweight, chances are you have some problems with self-discipline, which is a big problem if you want to use gear correctly. Not necessarily flaming you or the overweight, but self-discipline is a major issue with 90% of the population when it comes to physical training. Gyms everywhere can sell an unlimited number of memberships, indefinitely-----hmmm, how is that possible with limited hours and limited space?

Its not self discipline, Im a computer geek and majoring in computer science here at Vanderbilt. Its hard keeping in shape when I have computer programming homework that can take me a week too finish :(

But its not good to blame it on that its summer time now and Im ready to get back in shape like I was before I got heavy into computer programming. Im still going to find time even during school next semester. I recently bought Arnold's bodybuilding book and Ive learned alot and am now really motivated to change my body permanently. The 2 weeks Ive been on this diet and excercise program Im actually enjoying it so I don't think its discipline just a sedementary lifestyle that Im looking FORWARD to changing.

By the way do you guys think the diet I posted before is ok or a little extreme some tell me I don't have enough fats/carbs in it but Im putting 1 tbl spoon of flaxseed oil in my Whey Protein drinks. Advice for a newbie please! :)

Thanks,
Harb

hayrab,

Congrats on taking your first step. I wish you the best with it... I'm not sure who told you .5-1.0lbs/wk, but that's incredibly slow... As for your diet, I personally stay away from mixed fruit, unless you're preparing it. If it's canned, it's going to be too high in sugars. Otherwise, I'm only counting 3 meals which is a huge mistake. Get your meals up to 5-6/day. Cut down your portions and you'll speed up your metabolism. Try to target your diet to around 3000 Kcal/day, it's not below maintnance, but it takes into account a slow metabolism and a target weight of around 275. (Remember, you're going to be putting on lean muscle)

One last thing... (sorry, I'm looking over your reply as I'm typing...) Add oatmeal to your breakfast meal and don't worry about the vegi's or fruit. (I'd also substitute eggs instead of a shake, at least a meal replacement)

As for a cycle, you're gonna find a ton on this board, so stay around and check them out... I think a winny/eq/test cycle is fine with some clen thrown in, but that's just me....

Good for you bro, Glad you decided to make a change for the better, good luck and keep us posted and do your home work and in no time you will be addicted to the gym like the rest of us.

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but does it matter how the eggs are cooked or just eat em raw etc..? I know Ive seen stuff with people drinking a few eggs hehe. Thanks for the advice on the stack anyone else have any input on the diet? Or maybe even some advice on my workout it is as follows:

Mon/Thur Chest/Back
Tue/Fri Arms/Shoulders
Wed/Sat Legs
Abs everyday.

I also have another question Im really strong in the legs first day I walked into the gym I could legpress 450-500. Probabaly from having to carry all my weight around :) But my question is no matter how hard I work my legs and calves they are never sore the next day like when I do chest/back/arms/shoulders. I can only do about 15 reps at 400 on the leg press and I do my last set until failure but still they aren't sore. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Harb

Come on :) Any ideas on how to improve the diet/workout Im on and any idea on what I can do to shock those legs into growing for me?

Thanks,
Harb

Losing Fat

Coming from one fat ass to another the best thing you can do to trim down is time your carb intake. I have had good success with cutting my carbs after 5pm. Eat like a bear in the morning and mid-day, but after 5pm limit your intake to protein only. Keep you calories around 3,000 (you are a big guy) and do your cardio bro. I would suggest a diet something like this.

8:00am
4 eggs (I eat mine hardboiled)
1 cup of oatmeal
1 glass of juice

11:00am
chicken breast
1 cup rice
1 glass of milk

1:00pm
can of tuna
1 cup pasta
lowfat mayo (all mixed up)
1 glass of milk

3:00pm
1/2 pound lean ground beef
1 large baked potato
1 glass of milk

6:00pm
protein shake

9:00pm
protein shake

Do your cardio first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. That way it taps into your fat reserves for energy. Read up on your heart rate shit because keeping your heart in the ideal range really helps to burn more fat and less muscle.

Also, I would only work each bodypart once a week. My routine goes like this:
monday: chest and biceps
tuesday:legs
thursday: delts and triceps
friday:back

I'm not saying you should follow this to a "T" but that is the program I use when I'm cutting my gut down.

One last word of advice is to throw your friggin scale out the window. Use the mirror to guage your progress and not your weight.

Good luck bro. It's not easy, but it can be done :)

My friend, it sounds like you have the right perspective and attitude for success, now it takes a commitment of time, about 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour per day 4-5 days a week,

Most important-enjoy it, make it fun, look forward to, and you will get more out of your time in the gym. Good luck.

Thanks for all the info! Hrrmm I always heard to do drink you protein shakes in the morning but doing them at night does sound better due to lower calorie intake at night. Anymore opinions? I want to lose about 50lb by september think it can be done?

Thanks,
Harb
