The Sheraton on Canal Street is nice, and within walking distance to EVERY bar. The Marriott is right across the street from that, even closer to the bars than the Sheraton.

a mint julip...............

is a sweet tasting, highly alcoholic beverage served here in the deep south, usually over crushed ice.

it tastes like creme soda, and WILL sneak up on you!!!

try this and also the world famous hurricanes, both from pat o'bryans, in the heart (some say the arm pit) of nawlins' french quarter.

if you have the bucks for the place, the Royal Orleans hotel, just a few blocks away from pat o's is excellent, as is the windsor court.

having lived here in the swamps all my life, the only hotel i needed was for a few hours, , prolly not what you had in mind.

then again, maybe not?

To prepare yourself for the French Quarter/Bourbon St., I would suggest, first, pissing in your toilet, but do not flush. Let it sit for several days and just waft in the aroma. Second, you could spice it up with a smidgen of puke here and there. Third, bring a gun.

I have stayed in the quarter and outside of it.

I liked being able to walk to Bourbon street and such, but the smell alone is a good reason to not stay there.

When I worked there, I stayed in Metarie and now any time I go back, I stay there and just drive down to the quarter.

by the way, the hurricanes from pat o's suck ass.. nothing but water. also, try a hand grenade while you are down there.

doesnt matter what time of year it is; new orleans always smells. you can smell that shit 5 miles out from N.O. on the inter-state.

THE BEST PLACE FOR YOU TO STAY WILL BE THE HILTON DOWNTOWN. ITS JUST ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE CASINO AND ITS ON THE RIVERWALK. ALSO ONLY A FEW BLOCKS FROM BOURBON ST.


AND WHOMEVER SAID NEW ORLEANS CITY SMELLS...YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!!! BOURBON ST. SMELLS. NOT NEW ORLEANS CITY. UNLESS YOU GO TO THE WESTBANK OF COURSE. THAT PLACE SUCKS!!!
