New OHP PR!!

I refused to let the 198 beat me. I can't remember the last time I fought that hard to get a weight up :)

Hopefully this starts a nice week of new 1 RMs on the four big lifts.

I followed the OHPs up with some light weighted GPP and rotator strengthening/stretching.
 
Forgot to mention... that was weak.. I want to see 225 on your bar next time
 
20 lb pr on legs is nothing

20 lb pr on shoulders is fucking something! The bar actually started coming down and you just kept pushing,a nd your back stayed almost vertical, wow!
 
You now officially press more than you squat, mr noodle quads.. jk

congrats man, good work. i need to work on my overheads for the log and vikings b/c my shoulders are pretty weak.
 
jesus....the most impressive thing is that usually its up or down on overhead pressing...you get it, or you don't

but you just pushed through that

I thought to myself that 198 was out of reach, given that only 6 weeks ago my max was 176.

Before I started pressing yesterday I thought to myself, "I'm not going to stop until I get the 198 above my head. After I am done today, my new max WILL be 198. No matter what." So I just F%^king did it.

Honestly though, I didn't think it was going to happen.
 
excellent, havent watched the vid yet but from their replies sounds like you really worked for it, congrats.

congradulations man. a great lift, i am always more impressed with what people overhead press than what they bench press.

I've been benching ever since I started lifting (like 3-4 times a week for the first two years! :D) and only overhead pressing consistently for about a year. My training has only ever really been truly consistent since I joined Elite though...
