New from the UK

Hi. all!

After browsing this site for some time i can't put off joining any longer. You all seem quite switched on, so hopefully i will be able to put some questions to you in the future.

Thanks

hey FatRat, glad to see another Brit in here, there don't seem to be many of us at all.

How do i get hold of a Union Jack or St George likes yours. Gotta keep the flag flying!

Click "Profile" at the top, then "Edit Profile"

There are a few of us on here, but not enough!!! (and hey, we are pretty much a US state these days anyway..... ;)

Anybody know what happened to Bertil Fox what did he get sent to prison for. Saw a picture of him in the nick. He still looks good.

irishwoman here. Live in scotland.

yes it's called the "loo".

Apparently in victorian times the scottish term was "wee hoosie".

Circusgirl, is that true "wee hoosie" i like that!!

I saw it in a novel, one I read as a kid, where this girl was transported back to victorian edinburgh and she wasn't allowed call it the "lavatory" as that was considered "common" - the women called it the "wee hoosie" and spoke about it in whispers....

I don't know how well the author did her research, but there's no reason for them to make that up...

and as this is the trainnig board -

off to do bench in an hour or so. Followed by some cardio (argh! hateithateithateit!)
