New Facebook...

Who has seen it? It's some of the worst UI (user interface) design I have ever seen. What where they thinking???? Facebook was pretty lame before, now it's worst. Myspace atleast got their redesign to look and work half way decent... :rainbow:
 
Looks the same to me. Myspace is annoying. I like the clean layout of facebook. None of that music, videos and backgrounds with sparklies loading up bullshit.

no one cares to see your favorite top 40 music video when it means 10 extra minutes for your page to load.
 
Ah it's not that bad...It will just take a little getting used to. people always balk at layout changes.
 
It has the worst search feature ever. Oh you can only search your friends, or your 'network' or planet earth.

And if u find a friend, you see a small thumbnail that's it.

I konw it sucks for generation attention whore, but sometimes I want to you know possibly meet people i talk to in groups, friends, etc. Plus myspace's bulletins thing is way cooler, and people can actually dress up their profiles.

But facebook has a great anti-spam feature, and you can still be 50 and have a facebook. In myspace you have to continue to update your pics as u get older otherwise it'd look silly.

I think the tab idea needed more thought, good idea bad design. WAy to many bubbles, boxes and lines. It's a cluster fuck at the top of the page. I think the landing page is fine, but the profiles will take some getting used to.

And I agree with RG, if you can write CSS you can pretty much do anything on myspace.
 
I think facebook is way easier to navigate and I like the clean look. I just wish fools would stop sending me these application things.

facebook blows myspace out of the water now. The space is loaded with spam and half the time you get a friend request from someone, it's just porn. Never seen any of that on facebook.

That's why I like facebook. I don't want some random douche searching for me. I use it to network with people i KNOW, not meet new people.

Therein lies the problem. You have friends and 99% chance if they're using social sites, they have a myspace profile. Few have a FB. Let's face it, FB sucks for hosting songs, pictures, dressing up, etc. So many prefer myspace.

And therefore, unless you want 10 friends, you have to have a myspace profile to keep in touch with the other 90% of your friends.

Kinda like two ebays. :)

I think they're both a waste of time. I dont have one and not planning on it either. Wait what was this thread about............i cant stop looking at salads avi.....i want to sign off on it

You can turn on the "people have to enter your last name" also known as privacy settings check box and you will never get spam friends request. Same with messages and comments, facebook also has the same features. If you are getting spam it's your own fault. :)
 
I created a Facebook group for my high school which closed 20 years ago. We're already up to 60 people in < 5 weeks. I predict 200 by Xmas. We have some famous alumni (lots of music industry people), several dead peeps and some thugs that are now in prison. Half are divorced. It's a lot of fun to laugh about old shit though.
