new dude with computer question

when i turn my comp on am i supposed to turn the screen on first and then the drive or drive first. I do the screen first. Also how come i dont have a screen saver. Do i need one . also when i click turn off computer my screen goes off but the light is still on, whats the difference

Um, if you are serious.

1. You can turn on whatever you want in whatever order you want.
2. You don't need a screensaver if you don't want one. You should turn off your monitor (or have Windows do it) when you aren't using your computer.
3. You have to turn off your monitor as well. That is why the light is still on. On most modern monitors when you computer is turned off your monitor goes into a "standby mode" where it uses less electricity. I don't know if this is the case with yours.
