hey im new 2 this site..

im starting 2 get back in shape for the summer and i heard Anavar works well with toning you and keeping you lean.. im 5'3 and 120lbs... i just want the Jennifer Aniston or Jessica Simpson type look.. will this help me? and i no that there are side effects but if i only took a small dose wut are my chances of getting the side effects?? if anybody could please help me and tell me your experiences with it or something id appreiciate it very much.. thanks!!

lol i just made a thread also about Anavar :rainbow: lol

i am worried about getting a *manly* face. Do you happen to know anything about that?

ive heard u can have side effects like a deeper voice and excessive body hair and things like that but i think thats if you take a larger dosage.. i mean i dont no much about it but my boyfriend knows all about this stuff and he approved of me taking it so.. if he thought i would get "manly" side effects i dont think hed let me take it haha not to mention i only want it for the summer so i wouldnt do it for that long.. i just want a woman who actualy took it to tell me how she felt about it..

yeah, me too, before i take it, i'd like to get feedback from another woman who has used it, as they would know the benefits & side effects

post up your diet.

var isnt a fat burner...its an AAS which IS a derivitive of Testosterone.

You just had a baby in January, you just stopped breastfeeding, and you're still dealing with your pregnancy weight, don't further complicate matters by introducing artificial hormones.

Werd & Werd.

Any of that stuff is ONLY a supplement to an ALREADY functional and consistent diet & training program. Please don't look for quicky drug-based solutions if you aren't accomplishing your goals already w/ a good diet & training program.

And big time to MM's comment - these are hormones. You can't selectively choose which effects you want & which you don't - you get them all and they are unique to each individual person. If your body is still trying to get back to normal from a pregnancy, then for God's sake, LET IT before you start to throw in a whole new aspect of hormone imbalance.

i go to the gym about 5 times a week.. i do cardio and weights.. i see results from going to the gym but i wanted something to help me just a little more thats why i was thinking of taking anavar.. im not going to take it and just sit around and hope it works, i no i have to work out and have a decent diet going on.. so do you think this will work for me? has anybody taken var and not liked it?

if anavar isnt a fat burner what will it do? will it make me toned? and what is a fat burner then? sory if im asking too many questions but i dont no any women that have taken this so im very curious because im most likely going to take it

Its a testosterone derivative. It will help promote lean muscle mass. This also means that unless you are already low bodyfat (read 12-14%) and have an extremely tight diet it may actually make you bulk up some. So this whole thing about looking like these uber skinny actresses - you may not get the "look" you wanted.

like shadow said.. Post up your Diet
if your eating like crap, no anavar, no other fat burners or workout will get you to your goal.. main thing is what you putting in your body as a nutriton

ohhh ok i thought it was a fat burner. i don't know anything about *steroids* and i gathered anavar was not a hormone thing :worried:

yea, my dieting and exericse is giving me consistent results, and i'm 7 pounds shy of my pre pregnancy weight [YAY ME!], so its working for me i think. i just want to now be toned and gain a lot of muscle tone...and have a flat stomach again!!

are there any *fat burner* supplements that might assist me?

Thank you for the infor!! it is much appreciated

there is a fat burner called show us your diet ;)

I have been eating:
breakfast --> 3 egg whites w/a pinch of seasoning salt, 1 cup cooked plain oatmeal w/splenda and a bit of skim milk, 1 cup coffee w/fat free cream & splenda, then after all that, protein shake

lunch -->sometimes i miss lunch because I'm doin *baby* things (I'm a stay at home mommy) but I usually have brown rice or some broccoli w/lite cheez whiz (i know the cheez whiz isnt too healthy)

afternoon --> workout, then protein shake

dinner --> baked, boneless skinless chicken breast w/bbq sauce
and sometimes also broccoli w/lite cheez whiz

before bed -->i drink chinese super slimming tea

and once or twice/week on weekends, i cheat and eat a serving of potato skins and/or the next day a serving of dairy queen ice cream

I have an ancient stationary bike that sounds like a beast, but i ride it 45-60 minutes/day. then i try to do 100 situps/day, but sometimes it happens every 2 days

I am 5'6" and currently 137 pounds. (I was 130 pre pregnancy, and i was healthy, but not overly fit or anything. I guess just *average* fitness before.)

Thanks all!

haha the only reason i said jennifer aniston is so you knew what kind of a body i was aiming for, i didnt know if you girls were bodybuilders or something and you thought i was trying to get a muscular body like they have.. but yea i dont expect to look like jessica simpson or jen anniston.. it would be nice but.. haha.. like i said im 5'3 and 120lbs and im ok with that but i just wanted something to help me tone up and if it made me loose few pounds i wouldnt mind it ;)

thanks again i really appreicate you guys helping me out!!

I think we're just trying to drive home the not just the importance of diet & training but also the fact that even in competition prep - it is all about 1000% consistent diet & training if you want to make a change in how you look. It is targeted, 1000% tight & consistent diet & training. Its not sexy. Its not exciting. Its not fast. But it is guaranteed and reliable and won't F up your hormones or give you weird sides you didn't want to think about. Steroids introduce a WHOLE new set of issues and results you may or may not want.

I've tried every supplement & every "diet" on the planet and ALWAYS end up back to the basics - diet & training.

Sorry I'm lazy - can you put this into a food counts program like www.fitday.com - its free, online, takes a minute to set up your foods -- but just on the surface looks like you probably don't eat enough and the cheats are goign to slow down your progress.

And back to my previous comment about why to not be cavalier in your approach to steroids just to "tone up a little' --- if I spent a few minutes I can poke at least 5 holes in your diet and tell you why you aren't going to get to your goal w/ the diet you have -> that means there are a small set of tweaks you can make in your current diet to get the goals you want to achieve and in a time-efficient manner.

Your body reflects your lifestyle (how you eat and your activities). Lots of people pop up saying "I want to try var just to tone up & lose a few lbs" -- so they are telling me they have no problem popping some controlled substances in order to self-medicate w/ male hormones and deal w/ the associated sides, but won't take the time to optimize their lifestyle (diet & training) to get the results that even the drugs won't get if these things arent' in place already.

So please don't feel I'm directing this at anyone here - just again trying to reiterate how BASIC AND FUNDAMENTAL diet and training are. Your body can do nothing more than respond to the influences and stimuli that you put to it -- so you can't expect to find a quicky drug that bypasses that whole biochemical mechanism w /a few pills / shots / whatever. That is how important diet & training are. People will come up w/ a thousand different crazy fad diets and whacko things to do to "lose weight" or "tone up" but they won't take the time to look at what they are eating, the stresses they put on their body and the quality of recovery that their body needs to function under.

Its that basic.

Trust me - we've all attempted to find "the best fat -burner" and "the best trainign routine to cut" and all this other shit. There is no "best" - its just straight up clean & consistent eating, eating the right amount and then training w/ intensity and consistency to get the goals that you want. If you cheat randomly or decide you don't feel like goign to the gym, then expect to not meet your goals in a split second manner.

okay according to fitday:

cals 1088
fat 19
carbs 101
protein 133

fat 17%
carbs 32%
protein 51%

sassy, you mentioned you could suggest some tweaks to mi diet? I'm all ears :rainbow:

also, like i said, i had a babe 11 weeks ago, i've lost 33 of 40 pregnancy pounds. My entire body won't be painful to tone up i think, because i was never soft before, and i'm not too bad now...except of course my tummy, there is that small pouch of stretched skin & muffin top. Any advice? I'm getting married July 7, could I atleast have a flat stomach by then? And I'm not able to go to a gym right now...I have a stationary bike to work out, and myself :)

and also, any words of wisdom about fat burning supplements? Like Hydroxycut and anything like that?

Krista

if you don't mind seeing my pudge, i totally don't mind posting a pic of my body at this moment, and maybe a pic of what I want to look like. would that help determine the right advice for me? :)

Basically your diet is what is sabotaging all your work. At your height & weight you are kinda starving yourself. Your body has learned to operate under the stress of not enough nutritients and an increasing workload which will start to catabolize muscle as well as some fat while your body tries to find fuel to run on for all this.

Your macro ratios aren't so bad - 40% protein / 30% carb / 30% fat is a good place to start - because your body needs stuff to run on to keep up w/ the kid too. And I'm not a doctor but I just really think that you need to stay conservative w/ your carbs in the sense that you don't need to be going on a body builder diet - instead you should let your body get back to normal and fuel it to do that as well. The 30% carbs also gives you some room for including some good fruits in your diet as well. These are great to help shuttle out free-radicals and other waste products of your body's daily metabolic processes.

An easy answer is to check out the diet part of The Shadow Project - check the stickies at the top of the board. You shoudl be eating at least around 1400 -1600 cals / day. You're almost 1/3 of a day below that.

I have no idea about the pudge thing - part of that is just your skin and your muscles recovering from the baby. The kid isn't even 3 months old so you need to give your body some time to do what it needs to do.

what side effects are you afraid of??

the most common side effect is an enlarged clit which returns to normal after the cycle..

now with that said, it doesn't grow, it's just inflamed, swollen like aroused most of the time, then the pressure from walking, pants, and what not tend to keep the woman in a heightened state of arousal.

also

run it like this just in case you are a little sensitive to the compound..

1-2 weeks 5mg everyday
3-8 weeks 10mg everyday..

take in the morning all at once..

good luck..

it can and probably will effect your menstrual cycle, in some cases stopping it completely, in most, just shortening it..

good luck

my wife runs and loves this compound..

I think our bigger point here is that people hear about var & then think it will fix every problem they ever had when they probably don't even have a tight diet & training in place - as I noted in my previous post.

Not trying to dump on the poster but as a 7 yr veteran of this board and at least 5 others - this sort of question comes up on a daily basis and almost every time w/ a little bit of discussion you come to find out there is no basic understanding of how nutrition works and yet no one seems to have a problem popping a controlled substance or even understands the effects associated w/ hormone therapy.

Just saying - I think its really important that people, esp women who are new to "fitness' not take a cavalier approach to drugs. Its not rocket science, its not all bad , but its not a quicky fix either.

ps.. i didn't read the whole thread.. anything sassy has to say.. do that..

LMAO!!

He's right. She just gave you awesome information. lolol Raise your calories to at least 10 x your body weight while keeping your same macros and you should be good.

Your activity level is moderate - which is good with a new baby. I worked off A LOT of baby weight, too. I pushed a stroller every morning on long walks. It was nice to get outside, and the fat came right off. I think I was eating 12 x my body weight...

Yep, this is the only site i know of where the women are as if not more knowledgeable than most of the guys when it comes to nutrition, especially when it comes to the female body..

just bumping this for ya..

I don't want to be the "Technicality Guy" here, but Anavar is not (per se) a derivative of Testosterone. Anavar is a derivative of Dihydrotestosterone.
