Mine isn't that much higher than yours at 255lbs, but that's with a close grip :)

good job

Hmmmmm...I'm gonna have to get a move on....:D

I got you on deads, you got me on squats, can't have you beatin' me on BP....

j/k bro.:D

I'm sure my deads are about to move on up, all this added mass in my glutes, hammies and erectors has to account for something :spin:

although this time I'm gonna try it sumo style I think, but I'm not sure if I'm as strong sumo style. Most I've lifted sumo style is 225lbs for a double, I'm being very patient :)

You haven't been doing sumo for long. My bet is that they will start to explode real soon as you get more comfortable with them. I have farted around with sumo style a little, but it just doesn't feel as natural for me as it seems to look like it is for you.

I am hoping to go for 475 here in a few weeks.

Sorry to hijack your thread Lee :)

yeah I've been sumoing with cleangrip - feels good like this.
I tried the alternate grip last workout and it felt a bit uncomfortable because of the closer grip.

Good job lee, keep it up man. As far as deads, sumo feels funny to me but i can do more that way..I usually stick to conventional.

good job, any pr is a good one

thx for the compliments and encouragement guys, hopefully with me new routine im starting next week my strength will fly up

i did 225 twice today unassisted at 6'5" 217. i know its low but its good for me :D

Bro, I can still tell you exactly when I repped 225 twice. That was one of the great landmark moments for me. I don't remember how long it took to get to 225 for a single rep... but then... when I could rep it twice I felt like the sky was the limit... and it was.

That was when the big gains started.

Congratulations!

Excellant... there is something about that 225 mark... sit in the mind. :)

thx for the compliments and input guys, means a lot to me, especially at a time like this

Congrats. That is a big deal.

I remember what a big deal it was to first hit 2 plates (225), 3 plates (315), 4 plates and 5 plates on the bench. Hoping to report in about 6 months time what it feels like to hit 6 plates.

Any PR is a big deal, but a PR that puts another wheel on the bar is a HUGE deal.
