New antiestrogen drug...

Fulvestrant a new anti estrogen, unlike clomid or nolvadex it doesn't stimulate the estrogen receptor at all

Fulvestrant, also known as ICI 182,780, and "Faslodex" is a drug treatment of hormone receptor positive metastatic breast cancer in post-menopausal women with disease progression following anti-estrogen therapy. It is an estrogen receptor antagonist with no agonist effects, which works both by down-regulating and by degrading the estrogen receptor.[1] It is administered as a once-monthly injection.

Fulvestrant is marketed by AstraZeneca with the brand name Faslodex. Link to package insert and prescribing information [1].

that isnt necessarily a good thing. other SERMS like raloxifene and toremifene are agonists in good places (with positive effects on bone, blood lipids, etc) but antagonists in breast tissue, which is EXACTLY what we want as BBers...i would not prefer to have antagonism everywhere.

For prevention is ok, this small estrogenic effect don't matters.

But when trying to reverse gyno existing, this small estrogenic activity can prevent gyno reversal.
This small estrogenic activity also delays full HPTA axis recover.

just a little clarification...are you saying that the receptor stimulation in the case of raloxifene and tamox. can slow HPTA recovery and prevent gyno reversal?
