THROUGHOUT EUROPE MORE AND MORE PEOPLE ARE FEELING PRESSED FOR TIME, REPORTS THE GERMAN NEWSPAPER GIEBENER ALLGEMEINE. THE SAME IS TRUE WHETHER PEOPLE ARE WORKING OUTSIDE THE HOME, DOING HOUSE-WORK, OR ENJOYING LEISURE TIME. "PEOPLE SLEEP LESS, EAT FASTER, AND FEEL MORE RUSHED ON THE JOB THAN 40 YEARS AGO," SAYS SOCIOLOGIST MANFRED GARHAMMER, OF BAMBERG UNIVERSITY. HE FOUND THAT DAILY LIFE HAS ACCELERATED IN ALL THE EUROPEAN NATIONS THAT HE HAS STUDIED. LABORSAVING HOUSEHOLD DEVICES AND A REDUCTION IN HOURS AT WORK HAVE NOT BROUGHT ABOUT ANY "LEISURE SOCIETY" OR "TIME PROSPERITY," INSTEAD, ON AVERAGE, TIME FOR MEALS HAS BEEN REDUCED BY 20 MINUTES AND FOR A NIGHT'S REST BY 40 MINUTES.

Nobody is going to read that shit. I'd rather stick a hot steak knife in my eye.

And European workers work less hours and less days per year than American workers.

True. Life progresses at a more relaxed pace in Europe.

So people shouldnt hate us because we are a rich nation, we work our asses off.

Of course. It is not hate..it is called jealousy. I can tell you from experience that: any European who both wants the opportunity to live/ work/ and profit in America, and thus seizes this opportunity, will at some time in his/her future, possess that same hated American attitude that they complained about in the past.

B4 long, they will be able to call themselves Americans.

I'm tellin' ya- I'm not letting go of my idea to learn some Spanish and move down to some South American country like Bolivia where the pace of living is laid back and you can find a beautiful woman who will still be a woman and won't resent you if you don't pull in $80,000+ a year.

:D
