Nervous about first cycle

Hi guys
So i'm 22, and have been training naturally for 6 years and really glad i've stayed natural until now. I see guys jump on gear when they first start training and waste alot of time and money on it. But I definitely wanting to experiment and try a cycle, after doing a fair bit of research on the topic.

I'm 6'1 - 198lbs - 12% BF

I'm not wanting to rush into anything, and see how my body reacts first - so my first question is : Is it normal to just want to run test for a first cycle without dbol, tren etc etc?

I'm aware I won't put on crazy gains with that, but firstly that's not what i'm after (more a fitness model look), but also I want to go easy on my first cycle.

My real question is, is it normal to be slightly anxious about doing a first cycle? Everyone in society has always bashed steroids and said they're the worst thing ever and will make you die young blah blah. Even though they think nothing of people who go out drinking/smoking/weed everynight etc.

Would love some feedback :)

Thanks

First of all, those are pretty good stats. Most guys on here will say wait until you're 25 because you still have a lot of potential to tap into since you are so young and your test is already high.

But yes, test alone is a very normal first cycle and most guys will recommend that. The basic protocol is to add 1 compound per cycle so you know exactly what affect you're getting from each one. For example, if you start getting soar nipples on a test only cycle, you know you're prone to gyno from high test levels and you will know how to combat it later. Take time off then on the next cycle you add a compound and go from there...

But lastly, and this probably isn't what you want to hear. But you have a lot of research to do. Spend the next few months hitting the gym hard and tweaking your diet, while studying everything you can about steroids. Do google searches of every compound, learn the sides and how the effect you. And most importantly, learn everything you can about PCT (post cycle therapy). If you do it right you will keep your gains. This is where the danger of steroids comes into play. People will lose their gains after a cycle and say fuck it! And they will cycle year round and really fuck their bodies up. Like all things in life, everything is bad unless done in moderation. And yes, I'd say it is very normal to be anxious about a first cycle. I myself am very eager, but I'm currently working on getting my diet in check and really learning the essentials that work for me before I touch them. I really want to just say fuck everyone here and start taking them. But I know if I do that I'll just be another statistic that makes everyone here look bad for taking them.

Cheers for the reply mate.
Thanks for compliment too. I've been accused of being 'on gear', so maybe I have genetics or naturally high test.
I might be over exaggerating what different being on test e would make to my physique, like the whole "the grass is greener on the otherside" thing.

Where do you guys learn about everything, or is it just from the internet? Is there any official source I can talk to outside the internet?

It's natural to be nervous about a 1st cycle.. I was terrified but it's nothing to be worried about.. anyone who asks if your on gear just say you try some new diet and then go in to detail and they usually lose interest..

The internet is a great source of information but you must remember that everything is only personal opinions. What works for 5 guys might not work for 5 different guys. So that's why it's recommended to start off with just testosterone and see how you respond. There is so much conflicting information out there its hard to tell what's true or not..

For the next for months learn about testosterone, AI's, SERMs PCT and that is the basis for all cycles.
