THe 2 week cylcles that I've heard you mention b4. Isn't that essentially HRT? My friend looked the topic up on the net today and was asking me about it. Is it 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off continously?

If I am not mystaking he suggests 3weeks on/4weeks off. You would essentially stop whenever you please, so no it isn't HRT.

The idea is that you never shut down your hpta for too long of a period.

DOes it always recover on the 4 weeks off? I had a Dr. tell me that even if you take 1 shot a month, that eventually you would have to take it for the rest of your life.

Well on the 4weeks off you would take the necessary post cycle therahpy. Since you weren't shut down for too long, you should be able to recover pretty soon ... that's the idea behind it anyways.

One thing to note though, a lot of this is individualized, so even though you might recover during those 4weeks I may not. It would be wise to get blood work done to see how well you react with those cycles.

If you are unable to recover after 4weeks, than it is probably best to take more time off.

Actually, I believe you should take at least 8 weeks off. The longer you stay off, the more the gains are solidified.

There are many reasons why 3 weeks is best but essentially it's the longest you can go with the minimal supression to the HPTA. The 2 week concept was based on those findings but does not work as well.

It has nothing to do with HRT.

You either misunderstood your doctor or this really isn't his field of expertise.

Thanks. I am looking at taking 1cc of test every 3rd week permanently. What do you think of that? I'm nearly 39.

3 weeks on 8 weeks off? What happened to the time on = time off?

Well the time on = time off doesn't work with shorter cycles. Think about if you use deca for 3 weeks and then go off for 3 weeks. You will never have time to recover because the ester is slowly releasing the compound into your blood stream during your "off" period. 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off might work with something like suspension or winstrol, but even then I would want 6 weeks to recover.

I thought (not that I agree with it) that short-cycles were supposed to be used with fast-acting esters so Deca wouldn't be an option on the short-cycle especially since it takes 4 weeks to kick in.

Hmm, well I'm not too familiar with short cycles. My guess is that your body needs a certain amount of time to recover and solidify gains regardless. I guess Nelson better answer this one. He's the expert.

Artist and jubel: I'd love to elaborate on this but it's obvious that JA is here to disrupt the thread -- or should I say, shit all over it and make sure it degrades to nothing but a flame war. I will not participate. PM me or start a new thread. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Not true at all Nelson. I was just clarifying what I heard. I honestly was under the assumption that with short-cycles it was 3 weeks on 3-4 weeks. The 8 weeks off was new to me.

I've never noticed to JA to be a flamer. He's like most of us, he is just looking for answers and questions that which doesn't seem to add up. Why should anyone just accept information given, without thinking it through?

See post # 12. That's not a flame? That's a desire for an answer?
