Nelson what do you think of ZMA?

It's ok if you triple the amount of Zinc with your own supplementation. I'm taking about 4 grams of ZInc every 4 hours these days and my bench is up to about 130lbs

This is an attempt at humor. I think. Don't pay attention to it.

ZMA is just zinc. It's the biggest scam to hit the supplement market in the last decade. It would be like making a supplement that contains Vitamin C and calling it "C-Bolic" and claiming it prevents loss of testosterone -- which it would, because if you got scurvy and died you'd lose testosterone! Sounds far fetched? That's the same logic Victor Conte used to become a millionaire selling zinc.

By the way, "Post-Cycle" from Protein Factory has the same dosage of zinc asparate as ZMA as well as a dozen other ingredients and it's cheaper.

That much Zinc would certainly be toxic.

I'll get and try Post-cycle--thanx nelson

ZMA contains zinc monomethionine as well as asparate. It also contains vitamin B6. The supplement itself is no scam, but the marketing hype and much of the claims made about ZMA are. Most athletes are zinc deficient to some degree. Zinc deficiency is one factor involved in many cases of sub-optimal, natural testosterone levels. Correcting this deficiency can raise testosterone to normal levels in many cases.

ZMA is a good product, but you can get the same componets much cheaper. In addition, if you are already taking in enough zinc, adding ZMA is a bad idea.
