I have had some knee problems in the past i.e. torn ACL twice. I was wondering what would be a recommended steroid to inject that could help me strengthen my joints and the tendons in my knee. I already had my doctor inject something (not sure what, can't exactly remember was just happy he injected steroids...lol). Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

As far as I know, there really isnt much out there that strengthens ligaments and tendons. The shot he gave you I would guess was cortisone. Cortisone is a corticosteroid, and is used to reduce inflamation. Corticosteroids are actually catabolic, not anabolic! I once had someone ask be for advice about his friend who was trying to bulk up taking prednisone, a corticosteroid.
The poor guy was taking like 5 pills a day and couldnt understand why he wasnt getting stronger.

None :o

Adn the injection your doctor gve you may have been a corticosteroid and thus it WONT help your musclea grow AT ALL :o

how about some physical therapy eh? I bet you've heard that before. I'm sure you've had surgery already. Don't look to steroids to help you with this. It's not like a magical band-aid.

Practice what the doctors tell you, they can help you more than pretty much anyone on this board.

I don't know about strengthen but deca helped me with pain in my shoulder. I would wear knee wrap when doing lower body at least until it fully recovers.

yeh sometimes they administer deca, but not in the doses used for cycles I am ALMOST sure

AAS helps joint pain due to the build up of synovial fluid in the joints and Termy is dead on here.....No legit doc would give you Deca for joint pain.

Polysulfated Glycosaminoglycan

Oh, and by the way...about Dr.'s RX'ng Deca for this purpose...James Toney (Now X-WBA Champ) failed his SAC Boxing Drug Test for Deca...and gave this reason (that his Dr. gave it to him for post-surgery rehab)!!!!!!

Kind of sounds like the Olympic athlete who said his "NitroTech" made him test positive for Nandrolone

Did he actually get off with that bogus excuse?
