i'll be going to bed in about an hour, so any advice i can get tonight would be great. i'd post this in the training forum, but everyone hangs out here, so i figured i'd get a faster response.
(don't laugh at the amount of weight i'm discussing)
i'm going for a flat bench PR tomorrow, but unsure of what i should shoot for. my past PR was the beginning of december when i pushed 200x3, barely, but i got it. mid january i started 5x5 and it wasn't until last week that i had to take my flat bench to a 5x3. i worked 200lbs on flat bench last week and nailed every rep in every set. i knew i was fatigued after that, but i loaded up 215 and put it up once and while it was hard, it was smooth. then i tried 225 and didn't hit it. my ego stayed intact because i knew i was worn out.
any advice on what to shoot for tomorrow? warm up sets as well?
this is the last week of the regular semester for me. i'm not lifting during finals week due to a screwy finals schedule. i'm overdue for a break anyway.
thanks for any help.
