I am 4th week of a 12 week cycle.

weeks 1-12 sus 500mgs
weeks 1-10 deca 200 mgs
weeks 1-6 d-bol 40 mgs daily
weeks 6-12 tren 75 mgs eod
weeks 6-12 eq 300 mgs

This is my third cycle, and I am up 16 lbs since the start. The problem is my tendonitis has flared up so bad in my right arm, that I can not even curl 25lbs. I can do most excercises, chest , back, tri's shoulders. I ware a brace for tennis elbow and this helps with everything other than curls. My question is, should I stop now, or finish my cycle????? This did flare up the last time and I got through it, but it is worse this time. Any suggestions???

As far as your cycle goes I think EQ for 6 weeks is a waste.

On the tendonitis issue I can totally sympathize had it real bad in both elbows once and the pain was excruciating even when trying to handle the lightest of weights. I tried all the BS the normal docs recommended and even took time off from the gym and it came right back worse than before.

The reason yours(and mine) came back even worse is because of how we opted to treat it. My guess is you worked through the pain, loaded up with anti-inflamatories like ibuprofin/aleeve etc.

What most Docs fail to realize or remember from their early teachings in med school is that inflamation is a crucial element in healing, you stop inflamation you stop healing so when you load up on anti-inflamatories you ease the pain at the expense of healing, then after some time it comes back worse because the whole time you have been using limbs with weakened tendons/ligaments and therefor they are more easily damaged. Cortisone injections are far worse than anti-inflamatories and will lead to long term damage of the joint but it will greatly help with the pain.

You have to decide whats more important to you, proper healing/strengthening of the tendons/ligaments or stopping the pain. If you want to still be able to work out AND heal at the same time I recommend you take a look over at prolonews.com and check into prolotherapy, you can find a doc in your state on that web site. I have had it done for many injuries and nothing has worked as well and I have the peice of mind knowing the pain is gone because the tendons/ligaments are healed, not because i used some drug to just lessen the pain at the expense of healing.

I've worked through severe tendonitis. It's only pain.
There are clinical studies showing the pain caused has a direct effet on the ability of a muscle to contract and can adversely effect strength. My tendonities was so bad, the simple act of pushing open a door would cause hours and hours of throbbing pain and 25lb dumbells were nearly impossible to lift. There does come a point where continueing to lift at full intensity simply causes more damage and in turn more pain causing a downward spiral of effects. If the actions you continue to perform damage the tendons/ligaments at a faster rate than they heal your asking for trouble. The fact that you were able to work through it leads me to beleive your initial injury was much more significant then the stress applied by your workouts and your ability to work through it and still recover means your workouts were not further damaging the tendons/ligaments...or at least not as fast as they were being repaired.

Thanks for you post Zyglamail , I did a check no dr's in my state. How would you stack the EQ? 12 weeks at the end?
S.G. thanks, I usally do that! I feel like a pussy even posting this, I just don't want to do any permanent damage

EQ has a very long half life and many dont notice its result till 5 weeks into its use. If all you have is enough for 6 weeks, I would save it, you have enough other stuff in your cycle allready.

No need to feel like a pussy, the pain can be extreme to say the least and what one person considers extreme tendonitis may actually have no idea just how bad it can be. Working through the pain is something we all have done, but when it is so bad that simply lifting a coffee cup to your mouth for a drink causes hours of throbbing pain it beyond what most people have experienced.

Zyglamail is right about masking symtpoms of injury in order to work through them. It won't help you heal. One of the most effective and forgotten remmedies is ICE! 15min pre and post workout and a couple of other times per day. It will decrease swelling and pain, and increase blood flow to the damaged tissue via a reflex vasodilation response.

I have iced it a few times, but I will try to ice it a couple of times a day! thx
Personally I am not a fan of ice, it reduces inflamation which is an essential step in healing.

Good for you!!!! Want a cookie!!!

I'm sure it wasn't as severe as these guys saying they can't open a freaking door.

I assume we are talking abot lateral epicondylitis here? It is your right outer region of your ELBOW we are taking about?

If this is the case, then there really is not a significant amount of inflammaton in the first place. The pain is more a result of tissue degeneration resultant from microtrauma/overuse to the origin of the extensor carpi radialis brevis muscle, and more specifically, the connective tissue surrounding the tendon. Even though the name "tendonitis" means inflammation of the tendon, there is not truly much inflammation occuring.

In this case, ice will significantly increase blood flow to the area. This occurs after you have taken the ice off. The vascular bed in the iced region vasodilates, causing more blood flow to the area than there would have been otherwise. And blood flow, which is the primary benefit/component of inflammation, is what you want.

The next neccesary step is to limit movements that put stress on the tendon. I know it sucks, but you want it to heal, right?

You also get the added benefit of temporary pain releif.

Another factor that has not been mentioned is water content of the joint/surrounding tissues. I am curious to know if you are using/overusing ldex or any other aromatase inhibitors. If too little estrogen is in your system, the elasticity or your tendons will be compromised, and become more succeptible to trauma/tearing.
