Ok guys, im getting tired of the same ole protein intake...so i need new ideas to incorporate in my diet...BESIDES chicken, cottage cheese, lean meats, eggs, tuna ..what else can i eat...i rarley eat fish and i know i should start..so what kind of fish do you guys like...Im tired of salmon so thats out of the question..

Ok, seems like your looking for something on the lean side, hmmm...

Nuts? all sorts.
Flounder
Swordfish steaks (TASTY!)

SHIT, i'm late for a meal! lol... :( plain old tuna time.
If I think of more I'll post back.

Cod fillets 22g pro & really cheap, Haddock 24g pro per fillet, Lemon Sole 21g pro per fillet, Lobster 27g pro per tail, Trout 17g pro per fillet, shrimp 18g pro for 3 oz.

If you have a Trader Joe's nearby, you should be set; their selection and prices are great. CostCo and Sam's would also be good for frozen fish at reasonable prices. It's a bit more expensive than chicken, but the variety makes it well worthwhile. A couple of species that should be available from quite a few stores year-round and aren't too pricey are tilapia and ahi/yellowfin tuna. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with any type of fish in terms of taste, so it comes down to what you want to spend.

Try this recipe I came up with a few years ago. (you can adjust it based on your needs)

2 fillets of frozen(thawed) or fresh orange roughy
cut them into 4 inch blocks

sautee some mushrooms in butter or olive oil (around 2 Tbsp) along with some fresh parsley and chopped green onion

heat the oven to 350 degrees
Take your sauteed mixture and spoon about 1 Tbsp over each piece of fish
put it in the oven for about 10 minutes?(i've never timed it) but it should be right before the fish begins to get done (nice and flakey)
Then take the fish out, spoon on some more of your sauteed mixture and stick it back in the oven for another 2 or 3 minutes until it is done

take it out and EAT UP

not sure if any of that works in your diet, but I am not a big fan of fish, however this is one of my favorite things to eat when i'm not eating chicken, or beef.

Ah what am I thinking... lol
spices: use a little salt (to taste) some freshly cracked pepper
maybe a clove of garlic in when you sautee the mushrooms
and a dash of lemon juice

(I don't really follow recipes, i just come up with shit that tastes good and make due with whatever i have at the time usually)

Here are some lean fish I like to suguest:
Bass
Catfish
Cod
Flounder
Haddock
Halibut
Lingcod
Mahi-mahi
Monkfish
Orange roughy
Perch
Pike
Pollack
Rockfish
Sea bass
Smelt
Snapper
Swordfish
Trout (freshwater)

Of course, salmon and tuna are top of my list for favorite fatty fish, I mean real tuna not the canned stuff.

Mix 1 cup of dry rolled oats with paprika, cajun spices, onion powder. Mix in alittle MCT oil to get it to stick together a bit. Roll chicken tenders in it until coated. Bake at 400 for 15 minutes. If you dn't have MCT try coating with eggbeaters first then dip in the oats. I may never eat chicken the same again! Enjoy

1 can of tuna
1 Roasted peper diced (the kinda you buy in a jar already marinated in garlic and orgeno)
Diced up onion
1 Table spoon of sour cream
1 Tea spoon of mayo
Dash of hot sauce
Dash of italian salad dressing
Mix it up and your good to go

TOTAL 235 KCALS

i myself dont have a waffle iron so have never tried these
let me know what they taste like

Ingredients

1 fat-free hot dog (I used Ballpark Fat-Free Franks)
1 light hot dog bun
1/2 cup low-fat turkey chili without beans (canned or homemade)

Directions

Place hot dog in a microwave-safe container big enough to lay it flat. Add enough water to cover the dog. Microwave on high heat until the hot dog plumps, approximately 2-4 minutes. Microwave chili in a separate bowl until hot, about 1-3 minutes on medium heat. Drain hotdog and place it on the bun. Spoon chili over the top and serve immediately. Makes one serving.

Doctor's Order: You can add chopped onion and/or a sprinkling of grated fat-free cheese for just a few more calories

I love seafood. No problems there. In the summer, that's all I can eat. Unless its a low-fat chicken salad, I cannot force myself to eat a chicken breast or lean beef . . . it feels to heavy.

Mr. X, thanks for that list.
