Need input for contest tanning

Hi girls!

I'm getting ready for a fitness figure competition that is in 3 weeks. However my usual provider for tanning products has gone out of business and all I could get is 1 bottle of protan.

In past competitions when I paint with Protan there are parts such as knees, elbows, armpits, wrist and feet that get uneven and too dark than the rest of the body. I used to buy the Jan Tana stuff (scrub, moisturizer) and Bikini Bite ... but I can't get them here (Mexico) and not feasible to buy them online because they take too much for delivery (customs).

So... are there other alternatives for getting a perfect contest tan with what I already have?? what can I use for face? are there other products similar to bikini bite?

Thanks for your comments

Make sure you exfoliate really well every single day for the next two week apply any drug store brand of self tanner / moisturizer you can find. For a week before and do not apply any moisturizer. The dryer you skin is the more the protan will set in to your skin. Do NOT apply protan to your face at all it looks terrible. If you go through the bottle of protan and you feel your not dark enough if you can find Neutrogena MicroMist Tanning Sunless Spray in dark use that. For your face I like MAC NW45 full coverage. I know of several woman that use Dream Matte Mousse Foundation I believe Carmel is the darkest shade it is available in also TruBlend Minerals Bronzer Golden Sunrise should be good to set your face with.

I have had to tan with one bottle of protan before. It is a bit nerve wracking, but it is possible to get a dark enough tan.

Moisturise your elbows, knees and other bits that get too dark with vaseline. Try not to go over these area until the end.

DON'T wash/shower or bath after you start putting it on.

For face, I find that St.Tropez works really well, I use it almost like a foundation.

On the morning of the comp, I have tied all my hair back and just given my face one spritz with protan.

Has anyone ever tried a product called "DreamTan"... at least I believe that was what it was called. I found this stuff gave a better, darker tan without looking fake orangey... Also had a bit of shimmer to it. Problem was that if you have a light colored suit it WILL stain.

Here judges don't like it as it tends to have to much of sheen and also normally gives a smoothed over look as the stage lights are reflecting on it to much you can't see defintion and conditioning.

I have seen the dream tan in a pot totally hide the definition on some people.

And if you sweat, it is disgusting streaky city.

Dream tan spray like protan is a much nicer colour.

I do think that Jantana fast tan is the best colour I have found so far.
