Need ideas....

I own a party rental business....large tents, tables, chairs......

Anyone have any ideas of other equipment or services that would be a good idea to offer? Maybe something that you have looked for but was unable to. I am also a seasonal business.....looking to expand into something that would last year long.

corporate events?

wedding planning and receptions?

gazebos for local business and outside marketing?

city-run functions and fairs?

carnivals and events for schools, public and high school?

Anything that could involve a large number of people -- which in turn requires elements that you could provide (tents, chairs, tables, beer tanks, coolers, etc. etc.).

Guy I know used to work for a party rental/supply store but recently quit and started renting moon bounce type equiptment for birthday parties. He has all the different ones like the castle and the water slide. Anyway, he makes good $ renting those out. If you don't already, it might be worth looking into.

Top of my head?

1) Broaden your area of service. Maybe split your gear between multiple locations, spread the fixed costs over a larger geographic area.

2) PArtner with other guys like caterers to push each other's services to your clients

3) Consider investing in those heat lamps. There is this club in DC called Air. They have an outside club - and it functions in the freezing winter due to the lamps. They are like little suns. I think they've even had bikini parties. So maybe your business need not be so seasonal. You could probably rent these machines out without the extra stuff.

That will be $8000.00. Please paypal me, 10 net 20.

I have looked into moonwalks....those things are a lawsuit waiting to happen....and it shows in the insurance premiums....you'll pay 3K a year for one bouncer.....I don't know how these guys justify that cost alone. Other than that, they are great rentals.

I'd like to broaden what I offer....I think it would be cool to be like a Mercers, or a United Rent-all....but the inventory costs a fortune. I want to just add things little by little.......but the heat lamps are a great idea....they also have air conditioners for tents.

I am looking into the Frozen drink machines and hot tubs. You throw forzen drinks in at a party and guests will be digging it. Hell...those machines are expensive too, but I think worth it.
