Need Help!!! Mix Protien and Fat burning supplements?

Hey everyone, longtime reader, first time poster. My name is Blaine, I am 16 yrs. Old, 5'9 and 205 lbs.

I've tried to lose fat for a long time now, and have failed miserably. I'm a vegetarian, so I don't get as much protien as I should be getting (So, I suspect.) Now I'm confused after reading tons of information on the internet on various sites.

Should I use Protien supplements, while trying to lose fat? Or Fat burning supplements, and if so, which ones? Is it safe to combine the two for good results?

I heard good things about various ones, like Hydroxycut etc. Can someone help me out by letting me know which one is the most effective, generally? I need results, but don't want to expierement with tons of bottles and waste a lot of money.

I don't want to get hooked on stuff either, so can anyone help me out and reccomend some products w/ sites I could check out? And answer my protien supplement and fat burning question?

Thanks in Advance, Blaine.

Ok little bro…

First I hope you mean 205lbs not 2005 like you typed!!!!

Protein is good to help you loose weight. It takes more effort for your body to convert protein to energy thus you burn more calories doing so..

Fat burners are fine as long as they are used in conjunction with a balanced diet and regular exercise. I believe they can be responsible for 5-10% of your weight loss.

Here is the bottom line……. You will loose weight if your caloric intake is less than your caloric expenditure….. You must monitor closely what you put in your mouth and how much you decide to move!! Simple as that!!

just my opinion, but at 15, i wouldn't even mess with thermogenics...

just get into the gym, and walk, jog, run your ass off...

but you have to hit the weights too, take build muscle, which will burn more calories even while at rest...

protien supplement is not a bad idea... try www.dpsnutrition.com and get the Optimum Nutrition Whey... $24 for 5 lbs...

Thanks so much guys, and yeah only 205, lmao. Thanks again, im going now.. and I'll check out protien supplement DZ, thanks man.

^^ You are so right DZLS.

Chances are you are still growing B. If you are in school it may be hard for you eat clean foods and eat often with classes and teachers all up on your ass.

Focus on eating healthy as well, not 3 meals a day of cafeteria food/fast food if you can avoid it. You're young, enjoy it, but make healthy choices as DIET if VERY important in losing Fat :)
