Need help to start a healthy life

I was wondering what kinds of exercises I could do in my house to get me into shape, I weigh 210 lbs and I’m 6’1” and lately I’m not liking the way my body is looking. I find that every year I am going up in my jean size, and I would like to stop this weight that I’m gaining while I’m still young. I don’t have weights or any kind of exercise machine, but I do go out biking every day. I bike 30km a day; I started biking about 2 weeks ago.
I’m pretty good at sticking to thing in a compulsive way, so the odds of me breaking a routine are very slim.
I can’t go to a gym do to me having social anxiety. (I’m on a waiting 6 month waiting list to be seen by a doctor)

So I was wondering what I could do in my room to get into shape, like what I should do and how many times. My only problem would be the diet part, I come from an Italian family so eating a little is frowned upon but I could try to change that. If someone could point me to a place where I could read about what I should eat and what I shouldn’t eat and how much I should eat, than that would be awesome.

Thanks

Welcome to the board!!

The best thing that you can do is going to be the hardest, the diet. Check out the diet board, there is tons of good info on there. Look for posts by MrX especially. He is our diet board guru.

Here's a link to the place you should go for all the information you'll need...

www.elitefitness.com

Some of the people on the boards there are real assholes. Like Casualbb, WalkingBeast, Bulldog, Debaser, bigp3, bfold, jkurz, and more.

:p In reality, this is the best place to go. And those people are some of the most informed people I know. All big helps. And of course, moi.

Look up information on the Navy SEAL routine. The diet information can be found here. If you want to start developing some muscle, just do simple bodyweight exercises. Chinups, pushups, crunches, bridges, dips (if possible), squats, heel raises.
