Need help putting together a diet

Mt GF is going back to school soon and i want to give her a good diet to follow since she always asks me. Thing is i know nothing about cutting, when i cut i just eat mcdonalds twice a day instead of 3 times a day. Also not sure what stuff needs to be higher or lower for women because i know there needs are different then men. I do however want to do something low ish carbs and see how it works for her and add more in if she gets tired to much. She eats alot of carbs right now and i think with her bodytype she stores that energy well and doesnt burn it.
 
It really is simple. Lean proteins with every meal. Fruit and or veggies with every meal as well. Only drink beverages that contain zero calories. No juice, soda, or beer gasp. Try to separate your meals into two types. Meals that are Protein + Carbs and meals that are Protein + fat. Eating meals high in starchy carbs and fats is why America is the land of the Obese. Eat the P/C meals early in the day and PWO. Eat the P/F meals later in the day. An example of each meal would be... P/C - Scrambled eggs + egg whites and oats mixed with berries and skim milk. This is something I would typically eat for breakfast. For P/F - Chicken or fish, with a salad with oil and vinegar dressing and a serving of almonds.

Yeah this is why i can't do diet for people. I know it is the most important thing and that is what i preach but i am kind of an exception, i really just need to worry about protein and cals because of all the food i eat.
